Do you think there's hope that we'll come to our senses after the Republicans fix the economy and everyone has a job? Please give me hope so I can sleep at night.

Sorry but in the brave new he-man Republican world, sissy Apple fanboys like you won't find work. You'll have to be a Republican senator's gay slave or something.

Makes me wonder if rush was also "in" on 9-11

It's interesting that he didn't die in those attacks. He must have known about them!

So a chronic illness like lupus is similar to a dent in the car that occurred prior to coverage start?

Actually yes, it is. Insurance is about liability/risk..... It's not about "here have it so you feel better."

If you want "health care" go see a doctor and pay for it YOURSELF. Don't rely on others. It's really that damn simple.

I know liberal idiots, especially ones on this site don't understand what personal responsibility means, but that's to be expected I suppose in this generation of blame the other guy for my woes and gimme gimme gimme!

Yes, 'simple' is a great way to put your view on things. You really are quite simple.

How much does it pay and do they offer dental?

probably not, as i'd guess it's a plus if you don't have teeth.

####### sandwich.

You can always count on Rush to ignore the human side of any issue and make out that pre existing conditioning is some abstract concept that only applies to lazy people. If rush had to deal with the issues that many Americans do, he wouldn't he so cavalier about these things.

Personal responsibility amounts to going to the doctor, nothing more. Having to sell everything you own to pay for cancer treatment isn't that.

Destruction of the insurance industry because people do not understand where the costs of health care come from isn't the answer either.

Forcing a private company to insure/take a risk on someone who's pretty much guaranteed to cost them tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars when they come on and only pay pennies is absurd. No company can survive on that. It's bullshit.

Imagine if car companies were forced to insure everyone at the exact same rate, they couldn't deny you if you've been in an accident, they can't deny you if you have 2 DWIs, they can't deny you for repeated traffic violations, etc..... Rates for everyone would be astronomical or they would be shut down.

Insurance is a risk business. A BUSINESS. It's there to MAKE MONEY. It's not there to keep you healthy. It's there per terms of a contract in which you signed up for and they signed up along with you, to provide you with the services as stated in said contract when needed so long as you pay a monthly premium or whatever payment terms you have setup with them. That's it. That's all it is.

Stop treating it as if it's something more. Insurance has NOTHING to do with "health care." It's just a service that if offered to help you pay for your health care if you have it.

He is right. If we are going to have to cover someone that is sicj and they go into my plan then I expect to have to pay more in premiums to pay for the sick person we were forced to accept.

The left doesn't understand how a business works.

If the fat man wasn't rich as croesus he'd be more in touch with the needs and worries if ordinary Americans
