If you're > 65 and receive social security retirement benefits, you're automatically on Medicare A. You can opt out of Medicare B which wouldn't pay for LTC anyway. Medicare A does not pay for LTC either. You have to buy LTC insurance separately if LTC is an option you wish to consider (or you can be independently wealthy).
