Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to read my posting. This is regarding my wife's application for consular processing and it is employment based. Her labor certification and I-140 are approved under EB2(dates are current now). She had to file for I-824 for consular processing and in that, USCIS incorrectly approved the I-824 petition under EB3(date is backlogged for over 8 years). USCIS forwarded the file to NVC and NVC has created a case under EB3. We were able to make a service request with USCIS to correct the typo. and issue a new I-824 with EB2 as the category.

USCIS corrected the typo error and issued a new I-824. We sent the corrected I-824 via email to NVC and requested NVC to change from EB3 to EB2. It has been close to 2 weeks and have not heard from NVC.

I request you to advise us if there is anything we could do to expedite the case at NVC or if anyone has been thru' similar experience.

Thank you for your input.

Regards,
