Hello, I've been reading some posts in this thread.. when you mean calls, does it really have to be phone calls? my husband and I are talking everyday through Skype. Is that accepted?

hi, i use skype as well, and i printed off our call records and chat from that

when skype is open, go to your husband's info like you're going to call him, the click on the 'show all conversations' link and it'll bring up all your call times, dates and instant messages send via skype

cut and paste onto a word doc and print it out

it's not an 'official' call record sheet, but it is what i am planning to use show 'a continuing relationship' with my fiance as we wait for our K1 visa

Hello

May I make a suggestion. IM sure you can provide E mails

right or wrong ? ?

I have pictures from visits, E mails and the use of Skype

Why would I have to have proof of phone calls ? ? ? ?

When i can use skype for free they USCIS can check Skype

account and see how long its been working. Save your history

from skype and it show months of IMS usage and chat.

Also

3 sets of airplane tickets, to and from Ukraine.

Marriage certificate, Lease agreement. Letters from friends

and family my attorney said that was enough its not necessary

to be declined for lack of proof of phone calls.

Something else is the problem..

Some things else is wrong.

I never heard nobody ever get declined from that. NOBODY !

Do you have an attorney, if not i would get one and file and

case against the USCIS for incorrect for being declined.

I have newpaer articles of her and I where she works at her museum

and other peoples letters. Even documents on my passport were married

in Ukraine they use passport for proof of ID.

Everything in my passport entrance in and exits of Ukraine since 2008 until

present 5 times back and forth from Los angeles to Ukraine and back.

Just document all things you can.

Now my wife and I are having our first child in spring also. he will have 2

citizenships Ukraine and US after we go to Kiev enblassy with Ukraine birth

certificate. Plus im living here until her inteview and than moving back

to Los Angeles.

I would ask for a hearing if this is really the case. And i would be taking

and attorney also. Many of you people are doing your own Filings, and when

these things happen you have no body to support your case. aif you have

an attorney you dont need to worry

$1k plus filing cost for doucments to prepare them and attorney to file

the case and all the way up to adjustment of status.

of status is well worth the funds. I know many dont have that kind of money

but it better to be safe than sorry...doing it alone.

Good Luck

I assure you my husband and I had all emails, all pictures, all documents. He even had his call records from Nigeria and text messages from me. The only thing that the female CO wanted was call records from me. I have a few skype calls but since he is in Nigeria there is a delay and my husband didn't like it so we use yahoo! chat. I have the printouts of my travels there. We were not ill prepared, but rather careful of all that evidence that was needed. It wasn't at the USCIS, this was at the US embassy in Lagos. Trust me, I would have rather not have received a 221g for this issue and would have preferred a approval, but it is what it is and we are working delegently to obtain what is needed. But may I make a suggestion, before you assume that this or that wasn't done, maybe you should check in with all that I have been through first. I do appreciate you response, but can't help but feel a little insulted. This has been very devastating to my husband and I. So before you look down and question what I "didn't do" verify the facts.

Dude, an attorney doesn't guarantee you a visa. Many times, an attorney will slow down your case, I'm sure you've been told this in many other threads. This OP is dealing with LAGOS, NIGERIA consulate, which, if you read up, you'd know hands out denials for the TINIEST reasons. Even if she had an attorney, Nigeria is the toughest consulate in THE WORLD to get a visa from. OP, admittedly, I didn't read this whole thread, but my best suggestion to you is to read the pinned topic at the top of the MENA forum about denials. There is a ton of good advice there.

Lagos is a strange consulate to deal with. They get really strange about proof of relationship. Knowing they were phone record crazy we decided to use regular phone calls not phone cards. We paid more for our talk time but had records to prove the relationship. ( Total of about 15 inches between the petitions and what was carried to the interview ) Our first petition they keep asking questions until my husband could provide details of my work beyond the number of years, company name and that I "do computer stuff" My work is classified at that is all he still knows. Anyway after dealing with an attempted espionage filing from my company they still poured over the phone records the second interview. These people are nearly certifiable, they asked my husband if his father died because he was marrying a white woman. ANYONE going through Lagos should expect a hassle. I think about 1/2 the applicants end up needing to petition twice. The sad thing about the hell we go through is they DON'T detect the fake marriages. It seems 50% of the marriages from Nigeria fall about and about 1/2 of those are because the marriage was a scam. I wouldn't mind what they do if they were catching the bad apples but they don't , in fact the bad ones seem to always get through on the first pass. ( and I am certain some of them pay for the well known back door visas from Lagos )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Sorry to hear about that..do you use your cell phone to call him via calling cards? If so you can subpoena the records especially if you don't keep your statements. I have to do the same as I called my carrier and was told the only way to release the records is to subpoena them.

Also your husband can get his call records from Nigeria as well he just have to go to the call center of his carrier.

OP...I am sorry to hear about what happen, God is able. I have contacted my cell phone company and asked them to send me past phone records and henceforth send me a detailed biull each month. I also contacted my landline company and they said I would have to complete a letter equesting the records and they can send them. My question is I always called mt husband via phone card therefore tthe calling card will be the number that shows up that is called. Will the accept that? It is entirely too expensive to call directly. I am new to this and will not be getting a NOA2 for a while but do not want to scramble at the end. I'm rambling sorry...but will they accept the calling card records as proof?
