WANTING TO MOVE TO USA FROM CANADA-NEED HELP

hello. so just let me explain my situation. i have a boyfriend in memphis, Tennessee, usa. and i am located in halifax, nova scotia, canada. i have not ever in my life been to the states, also i am currently not employed. and my plan is to move there. i have 3 cats. and they are the only things i plan to take with me, plus a computer (in a plane) can someone please let me know. what identifications i need. and where do i start. what do i need to have a permanent status for living in the united states? please help. ! it would be so greatly appreciated

You cannot simply "move to" the USA. You can visit but you'll need a passport. There are no "girlfriend visas". When you have a fiance or spouse who is a US Citizen, you can choose a path that allows you to immigrate (move) to the USA. Start here.

Good luck, hope your ready to get married.

The visa is a long wait and a lot of paperwork and expencive.

Canadians can never just move to america.
