me again.

I am preparing papers for I-751.

I was reading through other people's postings.

And I kind of find that I don't have enough evidence documents.

So, I am freaking out right now....arrrr

These are all I have.

-Jointly filed Tax return in 2009(not sure for 2008, probably not jointly filed that year)

-house insurance that has both of my name and my husband's name

-joint bank checking account

-joint saving account(just opened about a week ago)

-airline boarding passes that we went to Korea together last December

-pictures

all the utility bills are on his name, because I moved in his house as we got married.

I don't have some other documents that other people seem to have....

1st, We don't have co-ownership on the house, we tried to put my name on the house but we couldn't, because my husband inheretated the house and property, so if we still want to put my name on the house as co-owner, we have to buy lawyer to work with...arrr we don't have money for that.

2nd, we already have house and property, therefore we don't have any mortgage or lease. So, we don't have that paper to show either.

3rd, this is kind of stupid, I am still on my learner's permit, so we couldn't put my name on car insurance. I am having problem with DMV.( they said my last name on their system doesn't match on immigration system. so I went to immigration to correct that, even after it's been corrected I still have to wait to my identity verification clears out.)

4th, my husband has one credit card, I was trying to open one on my name, I was denied because I wasn't working at that time. and we are kind of trying to get rid of the only credit card too.( Do we have to open a new one has both of out name on?)

Do you guys think these are enough?

I may can add little more, maybe I can get some kind of paper from our church finance team that shows we pay tithe together.(this paper used for tax deduction as well)

arrr I feel so stupid now...what have I don't for the last 2 years....I almost forgot about it and now I am panicking.

The things that you have are good.

Do you have mail addressed to the both of you? Are you both on the same health insurance policy? Do you have wills? Are you listed as the beneficiary of any life insurance for your husband? And him as beneficiary if you have life insurance?

Do you have any joint memberships? Health club? Gym? Warehouse club (Costco, Sam's Club, etc.)

Breathe.

Here is some insight knowledge; don't tell anyone!

If your marriage is, real and you live together with your husband like a "normal: married couple, there is no way in heaven that your ROC petition will NOT be APPROVED.

Understand, all they want to see from you is some evidence that have been living together for the past 2 years/

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Yay~me~!!!

I pushed my husband look into tax record of the company that we filed with in 2008.

We found out that luckily my husband jointly filed tax in 2008. sigh~

He thought he didn't joint file, but he did. bluhhhhh~

After 3 hours of anxiety, I finally can go to bed with bit of relief now.

I totally get what you are saying, Bob.

Isn't it weird that I have to prove that I live with my husband...dah~!

when you live normal, regular everyday life, you don't think much about making "evidence".

Just living like other people are and enjoying our life together...

When i got my temporary resident card, I was just so happy about that I don't have to think about "immigration stuff" for 2 years.

and totally forgot about it for 2 years.

Now! freaking out time again~~~!!!

Thank y'all for your help.

JustBob is correct.

Here are my two cents.

The list you mentioned is good. You could include a cover letter explaining why you are not on the house or utilities... it is not going to be the first time they see such a situation. Also, ask your pastor to write a small letter which shows your attendance (or membership) at the church and you can ask him to mention certain details such as tithing....

Basically, if you tell the USCIS IO what you mentioned in this thread, then I think you should be all right!

I didn't think that my wife's I-751 was going to be a problem either, but... The first NOA stated evidence submitted was insufficient.

Initial application (June 29 2010) included, sent -

2 affidavits

copies of our joint checking account

2009 tax returns

life insurance showing my wife as beneficiary

reply to initial NOA (10/10/10) included -

letters from health insurance showing everyone is covered

copy of our son's SS card (he was born after the original submission of the I-751)

more copies of our joint checking account

2008 tax returns

life insurance again since they did not acknowledge it with the original submission

Copies of various documents that Cathy signed when we refinanced our house.

I even sent a copy of the page out of our local phone directory showing we have the same address and phone.

Hopefully that's enough. It's been almost a month now and no new NOAs received. It will probably be ok, but I'm a little nervous. How long should we expect to wait for a reply?

I've been checking status online using the original receipt. Will they continue to update under that receipt # or will there be a new number to check status with?
