Hi Everyone!

I am new to this site but have found it very useful so far. Have read alot and found alot of valuable information, just need some straight forward confirming and verifying of some things I am confused about.

Just a bit of backround: I am going to file on behalf of my newly wedded husband and his 7 year old daughter (both british citizens). They entered on the vwp approximately 60 days ago, we had no intentions of marrying but decided we couldnt bare to be apart any longer, we are expecting! Yes he has full custody of his daughter and proof, yes we are very aware the risk involved and we feel that this is best for us at this time. We have strong faith in God and feel we are in alignment with his plans for us. We respect all of your valuable opinions and rights to them but we respectfully ask you to refain from putting your two cents and keeping your answers straight forward and to the point. We just want to stay positive, it's nerve racking enough as it is.

Ok so here are we go. More than anything I am confused about the Medical Examination, I have heard that you should send it with your package but I also heard that you have to wait until Immigration tells you when and where. What is the right thing? And, is it ok to send everything off and send this part later?

I understand the following please correct me if I am missing anything.

WE NEED:

Form I-130 one for my husband, one for my step daughter $355 each (until November 23, 2010 fees go up)

Form I-485 one for my husband $1010 and for my step daughter $600

Form I-765 for my husband $340

Form G-325A ok is this one for each or just one total?

Form I-864 again just one or one for each? I am going to use a cosponsor do they fill this out too or a different form? What do they need?

G-1145 for E-notification of application/petition is there a fee for this one?

Form I-693 one for each of them I imagine yes? And the fee is usually $300 each for Doctor but the form is free?

So please let me know if I am correct or if there is anything I am missing. I am sure I will have more questions as we began to fill everything out but this is will help us get started. We are going to attempt to get it all done and sent off in about 10 days from now! Wish us luck!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

THe medical must be done by a civil surgeon. They dont tell you when or where YOU are the one who must find one and make the appointment.

Go to this link, put your zipcode in and find one near you, start calling and asking prices and then make an appointment to go. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

Dont send the papers without the medical or you will have a huge delay and a lot of problems. Its much better to send everything that is needed the first time.

Send the medical with the initial application. Make an appointment tomorrow if you can for the next day. You have to have two appointments a few days apart to check the results of your tests. In the meantime you can fill out paperwork. If you get your applications accepted before the 90-day authorized stay, it is not risky. This is really important. Good luck! Congrats on your marriage!

765 is free with AOS application. 1145 is free. 693 is just the cost of the doctor appointment.

Not sure about the daughter's petition :)

Thanks so much! Yes I am going to call first thing in the morning, my only concern is their vaccine records. Can they have the exam without them or do we have to wait for them from england? Does have to be a official copy or can we get a fax?

Are you 100 percent sure that 765 is free with AOS application!? That would be wonderful! You promise??

I promise, cross my heart!! The cost for the whole thing for you husband is $1365, before the fee hike coming up. I think you are right about the $600 for your daughter's 485 and I think you only need one 864 but I am not sure.

Regarding vaccinations, just go to the Dr. and they will ask questions and figure it out. The doctor will do one of three things: 1. be satisfied with his/her knowledge of normal vaccinations in England and sign that they have had the shots, 2. do a blood panel that proves they have the antibodies, 3. recommend getting re-vaccinated for the hell of it. Ask the dr. if they will accept fax of previous shots. Just make the appointment and go! :)
