Continuity of shared finances

Hi everyone

I understand that the USCIS likes to see continuity when submitting evidence for removal of conditions on residency. My husband is an authorized user on my credit cards and has been for the last 3 years. Is it ok to submit photocopies of the expired credit cards along with the newer updated replacement cards to show evidence of continuity? As everyone is advised to save evidence to submit for the I-751 I am hoping that sending old cards along with current cards would be considered normal, however, I am just double checking that it would not be seen as odd to send expired cards. I am finding this process of collecting evidence to be extremely stressful as it seems that you have to analyze everything you send in terms of whether it is going to be good evidence or whether it could create confusion/ complications!

I would appreciate any input on my question regarding the expired cards.

Thanks!

We submitted copies of CC's with same account number. It's a valid piece of evidence.

I sent copies of our current cards - with most of the numbers blacked out. Ours had "Member since 2007" on the front so I highlighted that. Does yours not have that?

We happened to have new ones come recently so I copied them still stuck to the sheet that had our address on it - double whammy. If I didn't have that sheet, I might have included a statement with the address... on our CR-1 application, I copied some receipts of purchases he had made and some that I had made on the same card.

It is a bit stressful having to over-think all of this evidence. I certainly spent a ridiculous amount of time preparing our package and I still question some things that I sent or didn't send... but there is a good post by JustBob today (I think he was replying to someone asking about needing to send 2 years of joint taxes) saying basically if you have a real marriage it's pretty much impossible that you won't get approved. I know that rationally, and I don't currently feel worried about this at all, but I sure did right before I sent the package! Most of us here can relate.

We showed the credit cards. I wish I had thought to redact the whole numbers before the last minute - if you can block them out when you copy, you don't have to worry about them being able to read through your pen scribbles either. :bonk: (for me, not you!)

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved
