I read $545 on USCIS's website. Someone on this forum told me it was 505? What's the correct amount?

Get a hold of Form 751 and read the instructions.

Here is the official USCIS Fact Sheet about the fee changes.

The confusion of the $545 vs. $505 is that the first number combines the current filing fee and biometrics fee for one person ($465+ $80), while the second number is just the post-Nov. 23 filing fee, not including biometrics. The biometrics fee goes up as well on Nov 23, to $85.

April 1 - Choice of Agent information accepted (10th "working day" to accept).
April 3 - IV invoice appeared. Paid IV fee ($230).
April 11 - Sent IV package and AOS package TOGETHER. Confirmed delivery April 15.

April 26 - Case Complete (10th working day)

May 14 - Interview date assigned (12th working day)

June 5 - Interview in Sofia - VISA GRANTED!!!

June 16 - POE @ SFO. No problems. He's a citizen now!

Oct 4 - US Passport received. (SS card received some time in the summer; had to go to SSA office to obtain)

I wasn't aware of this! We were planning on sending our I-751 packet out on 11/19 or 11/20 using either second or next day delivery to be there by 11/22 (with the goal of giving us time to go over everything a few times but getting it out before Thanksgiving). Are the fees based on when your packet is post marked? Even if that's true I'm worried it won't be delivered or processed in time and our forms will be sent back or worse, lost. We could probably get everything ready and overnight it Monday 11/15 but I'd still be concerned. It is better to wait until after the fee change? But that is no good either because we'd hate to wait when we don't have to just to pay more. Also my husband's green card expires in early/mid January and we should have mailed this last month.

These fee changes happen occasionally so surely someone must know. Any other November filers dealing with this issue?

As long as it's postmarked by Nov 22, the current fee is OK. Postmarked ON or after Nov 23, it's $590.
