I have a question about the affidavit of sworn support. I know it talks about the couple living together, but what if they haven't lived together? I mean they got married and went back to their respective countries, then started the K-3 process. How would that work out? How long do the affidavits have to have known about the marriage and do the affidavits have to be there when the couple gets married?

You really didn't mean 'the K-3 process' did you?

http://www.visajourney.com/news/2010/02/07/department-of-state-to-close-k-3-visas-if-i-129f-and-i-130-petitions-approved-and-received-together/

Mostly, since 1 FEB 2010, K-3 visas are no longer a viable option.

affadavit of sworn support?

lets see -whats what?

--K-1 visa hopefuls - I-134 filed at the US Embassy, on interview day

--K-3 visa hopefuls - I-134 filed at the US Embassy, on interview day

and then an I-864 filed when in USA, filing the AOS packet

--CR-1/IR-1 visa hopefuls - I-864 filed with NVC, during NVC processing and intake, unless 'casetype' was DCF'd I-130, then it's filed with the USEmbassy IV unit, prior to interview day.

How long do the affidavits have to have known about the marriage

ah - this isn't any 'affadavit of sworn support'

please not confuse 'affadavit' filed with the I-130, as part of the 6 types of relationship evidence you should submit on initial filing,

with

'affadavit of support'

as these are 2 different things.

for How long do the affidavits have to have known about the marriage - each 'affadavit writer' would have had to known about the marriage, at least 1 day. doesn't matter where they are, who they are, at all - all that matters is that they KNOW of it, and are willing to write a sworn statement, an affadavit, testifying to their PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE about yer marriage.

What are the 6 types of relationships that I need to submit? I'm confused. I didn't read anything about the 6 types of relationships.

So basically the way to marry and get them here would be the CR-1 and not the K-3?

are you reading the I-130 instructions?

So basically the way to marry and get them here would be the CR-1 and not the K-3?

Them? Plural? Oh wow !

If there are 2 or more wives involved - I strongly suggest you marry , then all move to Indonesia or Malaysia, where 'plural marriage' is allowed.
