I am an Egyptian doctor engaged to a green card holder of 2 years duration. She stays in Egypt most of the time, so I think thats a drawback to her receiving her citizenship early. We are getting married in January 2011. My questions are:

1- is it faster to get married in Egypt and apply for my green card in the embassy in Egypt or travel with a touristic visa and get married legally inside the US ?

2- will it help if I try to apply to touristic or study visa to visit the US while am waiting for my green card number or approval ?

3- how long would it take starting from marriage and applying until I actually receive my green card, assuming that I did my part of medical and paper work as fast as possible ?

4- are there other options that would be faster or better for my situation ?

Thank you for your great help guys..

If she is living outside of the US for a period more than 6 months then that means she abandoned her permanent residence and she is no more eligible to apply for any kinds of visa, but if she maintains her permanent residence in the US then she can file for B1 visa on your behalf as a spouse.

about your questions

You can not apply for a different Visa while you have a petition pending

3- how long would it take starting from marriage and applying until I actually receive my green card, assuming that I did my part of medical and paper work as fast as possible ?

Check USCIS processing times website

LPR's don't have immediately available visa numbers for spouses. They have a wait from the time the application is approved until you can get a visa. Assuming that her status hasn't been removed by being outside the country too much you would marry and then apply for a visa. You would have about a 9-12 month wait for a visa number and then the process would continue to your interview. She would have to have residency in the US and a job to support you to file the I 864 affidavit of support. You can't come on a visitors visa and adjust status. Try that may get you banned for life for misrepresentation. There is no quick path for LPR spouses . Once you do get approved you will come with a visa that is work authorized

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
