My wife came to the U.S. in February on a K-1 visa, and I've read that K-1 visa holders are not normally required to have a second medical exam(the first one being in her home country before she left).

So I'm looking at the NOA and the extended list of items required for the interview, and the second item says "medical examination form I-693." Is it safe to ignore this, since it isn't required(supposedly) for K-1 holders?

Our interview office is in Bloomington, Minnesota, by the way - it's good to read the positive responses from people that have been there.

As long as your wife's medical exam for her K-1 Visa was less than one year from the date you applied for her AOS, then she will not require another medical exam.

She will require the Vaccination Supplement, which is done by a Civil Surgeon in the U.S. If you have a copy of her Vaccination Worksheet from her K-1 medical exam, the civil surgeon can copy the information onto the Supplement. We were charged $35.00 for this service, but there were no vaccinations required. There would be an additional charge if any vaccinations are required.

How long has it been since the medical exam?

Are her vaccinations complete according to the DS-3025 vaccination record from that medical?

Thanks for the info. Her medical exam was in December, so that's okay. We do have a copy of her vaccination worksheet DS-3025, which was completed at the same time as her physical exam, so I'm a bit confused as to why we need to have this form filled out again by a different doctor. Is this necessary if they already have the form, which we submitted with the I-485 application?

There has been District Offices that have asked for it. It depends from office to office and officer to officer.
