Hi Folks,

Just got my Biometrics appointment letter today - appt is for November 29 (just over three weeks away). I really, really want to walk in and try to get it done ASAP but from all the research I have done, it is impossible to walk-in in Santa Ana. From what I have read there is a security guard who goes over each letter with a fine-tooth comb and doesn't let anyone in early.

Has anyone had luck doing a walk-in for biometrics in Santa Ana or is it just a waste of time to even try?

Thanks,

Zach

We received our biometrics letter in mid Oct for an appointment in early Nov for US Citizenship. However, we walked into the Santa Ana office the day after receiving the biometrics letter, said we wanted to do it early, and completed biometrics right there. I've heard other people say it'####### or miss, but worked for us at the Santa Ana office...if you're close and you have time, there may not be much to lose in trying.

I tried the walk-in and was denied. I told the security guard I was going to be out of town on my appointment day and that when I called USCIS they told me to walk in. He said they give out the wrong info all the time and pointed to a sign that said appointments are required. Oh well, it's only two more weeks!
