My wife's current address is a mile long. I have also heard from neighbors there that the mail service is not good. I recently sent my I-130 with her current address. My wife says that she can move in with her relatives. I have two questions.

1) If I sent a change request for the new address will it slow down the process? Do I have to send in new G325-A forms for her? Should I wait till the case is transferred to the NVC or should I do it now?

2) Does my wife's passport need to reflect her new address?

Thanks a lot.

I would wait until it gets to the NVC. That's what I did.

Thank you Mrs. Z. Do you know if the passport needs to reflect the new address?

Another question comes to mind. I have sent the I-130 already and will be sending the I-129f soon. Should I use the new address on this form or should I keep the same address that I used in the I-130 form?

Thanks a lot.

For I-130, You can update your address when it goes to NVC after the approval. Now, is the beneficiary's address changed? Then you can update your address on the passport.

For I-129F, put your new address down.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks. But the address change is for my wife in India. I am assuming the answer above will be the same.

Thanks a lot.

Yes, the answers remain same. Write down the new address on I-129F and G-325A. For I-130, notify NVC the new address when it goes to NVC from USCIS. Her passport should reflect new address.
