Where did you file? We got our NOA1 last July 26, had my medical exam Aug 18 and 19, had my visa interview and got approved on Sept 2. Basically its like a month from NOA1 that we got our visa approval. We filed it at Vermont Service Center. I am hoping for your speedy visa processing too.

USCIS reserves expedites for serious medical conditions, extreme humanitarian reasons, etc.

What would be the basis for your expedite? Otherwise, we would ALL file for expedites!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

not without significant cause for expedite... if they allowed everyone to expedite then nothing would change...

Hi. Sorry to drop in... But I was wondering, if I am pregnant with my fiance, would they allow the process of my US visa rushed? We filed ours Sept this year and my expected due date is either last week of Feb or first week of March. Based on what I've read it takes an ave. Of 5-6 months for visa to get approved, it might get in the way of my pregnancy if we wait that long.. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Unless the USC has a high rick pregnancy pregnancy is not a reason to expedite. In fact in the non USC is pregnant there have been occasions where it delays the process because the embassy wants DNA testing to prove the USC is the father.

Ive read of cases (recently) where a pregnancy has 'enabled' an expeditied petition. Each case is judged on its own merits. If you view the criteria, and feel you have a storng case, backed up by specialist letters then you can always try.

If your pregnancy is normal then you have a slim chance.

I am not being mean but There are tons of people pregnant who have to do it all on their own because they cannot get an expedite. I know a lady on here that went over due and had a c-section. (i would hate to be pregnant alone, who would do my icecream and pickle store runs?)

They didn't seem to take into mind that she was pregnant, she talked to numerous people and stated that her due date was coming up. they still booked her interview around the same time as her due date. Due to this she had to reschedule her interview twice. Being away from a newborn child has to suck! Just my opinion lol

Good luck :)
