Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.

We filed our initial I-129F about 6 weeks ago but did not submit everything so they sent it back to my US fiance, but not the cheque.

We got everything together and sent it again on the 15th October.

He recieved the reciept on the 23rd October but we did not get a case number or anything.

However the cheque has still not been cashed and I have seen timelines where the cheque is usually cashed within a couple of days.

Does it sometimes take this long for the cheque to be cashed?

Thanks

It is strange they sent you a receipt but haven't cashed the cheque...I thought that was the whole point of the receipt!

We had our whole packet sent back as well as my fiance sent a cheque with his old address on it doh...but they sent the cheque back as well

Sorry not quite sure what to suggest, maybe someone with more experience on here will be more helpful

(They took about 9 days to cash our cheque)

Normally if they reject the package they send back the check. You will usually see the check cleared before you get a receipt.

Please attach a copy of the receipt in your next post.
