Although I suppose I'll have enough to occupy myself with 10 seasons of Stargate, 4 seasons + a miniseries of Farscape, and 1 truncated season and a movie of Firefly on DVDs. Maybe I need to invest in the X Files.

Noooooooooooooooo!!! I love SG-1, granted I liked it better with Richard Dean Anderson. I hope they bring him back for the final few episodes. I admit that I haven't watched it as I would like to have due to the fact I didnt know when it came on from the jumping of schedules. To be honest I hated Battlestar Galatica (sp?) and Atlantis is so so(i think the doctor and the scientist are funny)

Atlantis has gotten better the last couple of episodes...

like I've said elsewhere, you just can't go turn your principle actors into puppets and expect to get another season

I've expected for a while now that this would be the last season. Its had a monumental run, but its time.

Atlantis is still on tho, so maybe the SG1 cast will have guest appearances.

My friends and I had a puppet party for it. We all made puppets of various characters our of paperbags and straws and laughed ourselves silly through the episodes

I thouroughly enjoyed the episode myself, but history has shown that when the characters turn into puppets, the show gets cancelled. FOX announced the cancellation of Angel the day of or the day before that Smile Time aired.

No doubt about it, "200" was the shark episode. And a damn good one.

There is rumour of a couple of movie sequels rolling around someone's brain pan, but sequels to the movie, not the TV show. With the movie cast.

Apparently there are also rumours that MGM is shopping around for another network to pick them up for next season. So who knows?

if you read the article, I think the decline of the show happened before the 200th episode... they said the amount of viewers had declined over the last couple of episodes

meh that's ruined my evening..me n Mr M are HUGE fans of SG1 (as well as Atlantis) and have all the seasons on DVD - no it wasn't AS good without RDA, but I still enjoyed it (Daniel Jackson, yummo, lol)

But 10 seasons for ANY show is pretty darn good going - I just hope they end it 'properly' and don't annoy the fans with somes tupid cliff hanger episode or whatever.

We also loved Firefly and Angel (and Buffy) and pretty much anything ole Joss Whedon cranks out cos he understands sci-fi, and he adds the necessary touch of humor that prevents it from being too far up its own azz (if ya know what I mean).

Darn those execs at the tv companies - they give us those puerile 'reality'' shows instead of the good stuff - tho if they do a reality show where we can vote on which of the contestants get shot each week then I'll be watching

Nothing can last forever (except a soap opera... they seem to have no problem going on for an entire LIFETIME!) I like Stargate and I watch it when I remember to, but it's getting a bit old and tired... I won't particularly miss it!
