Hi again,

i was also wondering about sponsoring my husband and household size. i have couple questions.

if i am here in egypt and of course i need co sponsor to file direct because i am here in egypt and unemployed am i still required to send in tax returns for me? Do i even fill out the i-864 or do i just send in one for my mom with an explanation for me?

if my mom cosponsors me can she include my brothers income also.

So what forms would i need? Do i need a form or do i just need an i-864 for my mom the cosponsor and i-864a for my brother?

thanks anyone who knows or has experience who can clear up my confusion.

-> You are the main petitioner ,even though you are unemplyed ,you need to fill up I-864 & also you need to send last 3 years of tax returns.

if my mom cosponsors me can she include my brothers income also.

-> Your mom will fill up I-864 too as a co-sponsor. If your mom & brother are living at the same address in the US,then yes your brother will be household sponsor for your mom and he will fill I-864A. Here, your mom & brother income will be combined.

So what forms would i need? Do i need a form or do i just need an i-864 for my mom the cosponsor and i-864a for my brother?

-> As i said your mom will fill I-864 & brother will fill I-864A. Remember this is possible only if they both are living at the same address.(let me know about it, they r living at same address or not?)

thanks anyone who knows or has experience who can clear up my confusion.

Thanks so much! Yes my brother lives with my mom also. Does it matter that she claimed him as dependent on her taxes? My brother is handicapped and has ssi and work income. so i was thinking i could add his work income but am not sure about his filing status(for getting tax records) but my mom says because he is dependent he can't file taxes.

Yes it does matter , If they live at the same house..then they will file i-864A , BTW , if you are the USC then you have to be sponsor to your husband even if you are 0 income ...so in this case you will file i-864 and your mother and brother will file i-864A

Beautiful patience.
