Ok, personally i think this whole process is a load of #######, but i do understand the need for it.

Now Cathy and I were talking today and she had got a hold of some sample questions that were pretty basic. But it brought to light how yes we love each other, but there are alot of simple things that we dont know.

honestly there are some things that you just dont bother to go over until it comes up. and when you have a long distance relationship like this you just dont always have time to bring them up.

like how big a deal is it for her to know my exact address, she can tell you my email address with no problem, or my fathers address for that matter, i mean me and the guy hardly speak.

There were a few that got me upset like what plans have we made for the future, we talked so much about this but she was real basic about her response or what will she do when she comes here, again a real basic answer.

So how much should i worry about those quesitons and how detailed do the answers need to be? or am i making a big deal over nothing? i mean at this point after our talk i think she is waaaay more upset now.

I think you are making a big deal out of stuff. They normally just ask questions that they already know the answer 2 (stuff from the forms). Check out the comments in our timeline and you will see how basic the questions were for mhay.

Unfortunately these questions are there to prevent false immigrating purposes. Even though this is not your intention, its still a process in which Immigration takes seriously, and if you think about it, it not only gives you a little bonding 1-on-1 with your SO, but also the nation from potential problems.(Sorry to have to bust that speech out on ya but its true)

Dont worry so much, yes the previous poster mentioned that the questions are from the forms you fill out.. IF there is a real relationship then no sweat just roll with it man, and we will be here for you through it all! Take care!

why be upset at your fiancee giving you a basic response? did you expect her to answer giving you a timeline? this whole journey is already stressing for both of you. you don't need to put more stress on your guys by being upset because she didn't answer the way you wanted her to. take a chill pill and just enjoy the ride. she'll do fine when she's interviewed.

My fiance just had her interview and passed!!! Some of the questions she said her heart dropped. I had told her to just answer the question and if she didn't know just state she is unsure or doesn't know.

What is your name? Whats your fiance's name?

Where is your fiance from?

When did you meet? When did you meet last in person?

Ok those she can be reasonably expected to know.

Has your fiance been married before? Yes

Why did he get divorced? First one they just fell out of love and not sure on the 2nd one.

Does he have any children? Yes

How old? I think he is 16 but he lives with his first wife so I am not too sure.

Well she didn't know exactly the answer and even got the age one wrong. She was approved. My take is that if someone knows every answer as coming from a textbook than how is that better than just being real. She ask me some of the questions like they asked her about brothers & sisters--good thing it wasn't my interview she said or I would have failed miserably :) opps.

Yeah, now i think i was being a bit much. This whole thing is so very stressful to begin with and i think its just getting to me now. Now that i think about it the whole thing was so very stupid.

Ugh, i cant wait till this is over.

I so hate the idea of having to "prove" your in a real relationship. I mean being in a long distance relationship for me seems so weird, but here i am and i love her so very much. Guess i need to just relax.
