hello all

does any who file for the fiance and he went for the interview then they give him a blue slip receiver a blue stating that

they want to interview the petition.

and what is that all about.

thank you

It is what it is....very simple...he went to the interview and for whatever reason they were not convinced that your relationship is valid thus they require you - the petitioner to come for a 2nd interview where they will ask you questions as the validity of your relationship.

Although I was asked to attend my wifes interview I knew it was in our best interest to be present, just in case. In situations where they might think your relationship is not legitimate, they want to talk to the petitioner to validate. More than likely they will interview her again and compare her answers to yours as was done in my case.

Rod, Jamaica has recently changed to not allowing the petitioner to attend the interview (with the exception of Ricardo)- If they want to interview the petitioner, they blue slip.

Peace, honestly, from reading your posts - you are one of the few I would advise to retain an attorney so that you have someone review your I-134 and ensure that everything you need is there this time.

Ricardo wasnt the exception

I saw others there together, when i went on the 29th of October and i also saw that they sent for a petitioner that was outside and the husband was at the interview but didnt know the documents. She was in the car and they sent for a guard to go get her and she was interviewed with him, so has was already highlighted jamaica is very inconsistent and deals with those matters on a case by case basis.

moved from Removal of Conditions Forum to K-1 forum as poster is asking about a fiancee visa interview

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Okay, let me clarify- Ricardo was the exception of people who have come here and posted reviews. Very glad to hear that they went and got the petitioner who was outside instead of blue slipping, thanks for the updated information.

THEY SENT for the petitioner that WAS outside.. so they werent allowed in sir/ma'am. I've made least 2 calls to the consulate and was told the policy has since changed. Now we can overcome this by sending off a VERY qucik and Short Email.

My Brother's Filing will begin on December 21 the day after my mom arrive and applies for her SSN if she wasnt assigned one at the airport during processing. I have hopes to be in the Interview for my little 15 y/o brother someway. It has a lot to do with how people carry them selves and though we may be dressed up.. act the part..!

honestly, while people are given the opportunity to attend the interview ( the USC) most of the time they are not allowed inside the embassy.

the solution to that is USC contacting the embassy beforehand, get an email that states he or she will be able to attend the interview, print it out and show it at the entrance .just a little piece of advice and information for others who are reading this post
