CAM WE DELAY OUR INTERVIEW DATE ???

Please can you give me your suggestions. Nigerian embassy recieved our case on 08-11-06. How long will it take for them to mail packet 3 to my fiance. I don't want her to go for the interview until the second week of october. The reason for this is that we have all the evidence required but we do not have pictures. I'm going home by the first week of october to take as many pictures as possible. What do you think we can do? If she goes to the embassy now she will probably get an earlier than october interview date. But i'm thinking if she wait for them to mail the packets, that will buy us some time for me to go home and take those pictures. Anybody, Please !!!

I don't think it will be a problem. I don't think you will have your interview before then. When we did our interview, we got approved this time of year and didn't have the interview until December. I wouldn't worry about it until you get the date. It is usually a few months off, so you are probably fine.

just read the other post and it looks like things are moiving faster at Lagos. I still wouldn't worry until you have a date. When she goes to pick it up, you could have her ask for a date after that time (if they try to give it to her earlier) and heve her explain that you will be bringing pictures at that time. I don't know what it will do, but it might work.

taye, lagos received my case on june 18th and and scheduled my interview for september 14th. so i think the interview might probably fall on middle october or early november. send ur fiance to go for the packet 3 around ending of september. atleast u will have enough time to do the medicals before the interview. Goodluck.

We also had to wait a couple of months before we had an interview, so I don't think there be a problem there.

I doubt it will be before mid October.

It took a few weeks once we found out about the interview till I recieved the last packet. I scanned it and emailed it to him.

Well... I definitely know that it can take up to 1 month for your fiance to receive any mailing from the embassy, with the interview being scheduled out for 2 months. (This was the scenario w/ my hubby's K-3)

Since you will be returning home in early/mid October, you should be just fine. Yes, it is a strong possibility that she will get an early interview date if she goes in person to pick up the packets. Infact, it is a common practice for beneficiaries to pick up their packets, in hopes of getting an interview sooner!
