Curious - we've been moved to Texas?

We just had an e-mail from USCIS saying our I-130 case has been transferred to TEXAS processing centre. Is this a good thing, a bad thing - will things be speeded up, will things be slower? Has anyone any idea why this is? Thanks! Kinda excited here....it's been 4 months since our application was put through.....

It seems a number of us on here are got the same notice today or yesterday! So you're not the only one. Someone said that CSC is bogged down, and Texas is available to take on more cases. I hope it just works out in our bnift and doesn't prolong anything. *Fingers crossed*

Works out for our benefit* (is what I meant to say) haha.

But I was just reading and another member (Newbie) said " I am June filer and my 5 month frame period is very close to pass. I called USCIS and luckily I was able to reach to reprentative and he told me that transferring case to other service center does not affect 5 month period, it does not add up more months and you can always call back when you are certainly out of stated 5 months period. He also told me that reason for this transfering is that now Texas office is processing special cases which may include finalizing process as well (although his first words were I AM NOT SURE BUT......)"

Yes....Gary and I just found it......TOTALLY excited here, really hope it's justified excitement which I do believe it is!!! Gary my husband also heard about a lot of I-130's being transferred over to Texas from Vermont and within weeks people were getting news of approval.....WOOOHOOO......please let this be great for all of us!!!

But one thing i dont get is why did they only transferred I-130. I thought once they receive I-129 after I-130, they pair them and make decision at the same time for both petition. Just wondering if we will get a decision from Texas for I-130 and from California for I-129

we were wondering about that as well.....I think it's better for the I-130 to get pushed thru and I don't believe both have to be approved, just one....so which ever comes thru first is the winner and now that the I-130's have been moved to Texas.....I think we may all be lucky and hear some news soon....one can only pray......Good luck to you!!!
