thank you..

no, she told me the passport was my property (actually I think is government -country I was born- property)

but she told me once I take the oath I cannot use it..

supposedly, you have to give up the other citizenship (I think when you take the oath you promise you will only be loyal to the USA... and so)

I dont think they force people but is like implied that you cant keep both

(although at least in my country the only way they will take my birth citizenship is if I write a letter to the gov and tell them I no longer want to have it... )

I have heard of people keeping both, I guess is just a matter of "if you want to follow the rules, you should give it up but nobody will force you to do it or ask you or your old government and check if you really kept just the US citizenship)

I assume in the end if you want to be "loyal" to the US oath, you must give it up.. I personally think it is in each person conscience...

porble why she told you that , you cant use ur passport any more because ur your country of birth don't allow dual citizen.. you need to fine out if your country allow dual citizen
