I did not receive Biometrics Letter Notice…

Well, this is my case. I sent off my I-751 app Sept 17, 2010, received my NOA at my physical address – no problem. On the app I have my physical address and a P.O Box listed as my mailing address. I thought all correspondences were going to come to the P.O Box.

Anyhow, Yesterday (Nov 2nd) I decided to come on the forum to check if anyone who filed in my time frame received their Biometrics letter. Come to find out, everyone received an interview date for fingerprint this week. So I’m frantic now and thinking to myself…where’s mines? First thing as I reached home I gave Customer Service a called inquiring about my status. Of course my file number could not be found so I was transferred. The Rep said it was mailed out to my P. O. Box and that my Hubby had his interview TODAY at 8am. And of course he needed the letter. We went to the P.O. Box nothing there, nothing at our house address. Called back told a Rep the situation and he said he could fax it. I don’t have a fax machine. To make a long story short, I gave him my Aunt‘s fax number in which we received it, after 2 attempts. Second Rep stated 1st Rep did not fax it, it was showing in system. When I looked on the address listed on the letter – all is correct and the date it was generated was from Oct 8, 2010. I couldn’t believe it.

What hurt my head more was on the notice it mentioned if an appointment was missed, not rescheduled – the app/case would be considered abandoned. All I can say is Praise God. If I didn’t decided to check yesterday on this forum – my case would have been thrown out.

Relief- Hubby, went in this morn, did his fingerprint/took pics – in and out in 20 mins. Had no issues.

Anyone experience not receiving their notices? I hope this mishap doesn’t occur again. I do not want to miss anything important especially the Visa if mailed out.

thanks that was helpful. im calling now, but what file number did u give them when u called, was it the number on the reciept or on the GC.

and what was the number that u called?.

The case number I gave them is from the orignal NOA notice I received once I sent in the app/fee/evidance. Have you done this so far? The number I called was 1800-375-5283 - also listed on the notice. To talk directly to a rep, choose option 1-2-6. These are options for the English language.
