Hi,

Can anyone please say that once the interview date is received from NVC, will there be a separate Packet 4 which is supposed to be received. Who sends this packet, NVC or the local embassy where the interview is scheduled. How long does it take before this is received.

Also can one proceed with the medical examination and submission of documents at VFS before receiving the packet if applicable.

Packet4 is mailed out by the Consulate to the applicant. Most people will get it before the interview date, but we were unlucky last time. We got it after the interview.

VFS and Medical can be proceeded with the appointment letter provided by the NVC.

Yes, LoTo is right.If you have interview letter in your email then you can go for medical exam. After that print out the regarding forms(like DS-230) of Packet-4 from the USCIS website and submit all your docs to the VFS office.

02-28-14 -> I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox.
03-03-14 -> USCIS received. (Priority Date)
03-09-14 -> NOA1 received.
06-04-14 -> NOA2 received. Approved.
06-18-14 -> NVC Received case.
07-03-14 -> NVC Assigned Case#(Got Case# & IIN Over the Phone).
07-22-14 -> DS-261 Completed.
07-25-14 -> AOS fee Payment.
07-29-14 -> AOS fee shows PAID.
07-30-14 -> AOS Package Sent.
07-31-14 -> AOS Package delivered.
09-15-14 -> IV fee Payment.

09-17-14 -> IV fee Shows PAID.

09-18-14 -> IV Package Sent.
09-20-14 -> IV Package Delivered.

Third you get the Application and the package 4. The beneficiary has to have all the stuff listed and send to the NCS right? Then your wife also needs a complete copy for interview plus medical, plus a fresh police report. (Ukraine) Am I understanding all correctly? Thanks

VFS Global is a trusted partner to the U.S. diplomatic mission in India and manages the administrative function of the visa application process.So here we have to submit all docs to VFS office prior to the visa Interview.I dont know about your country specific process.May be you have to follow NCS,but i am not sure.Somebody from your country can answer ur question.

VFS Global is a trusted partner to the U.S. diplomatic mission in India and manages the administrative function of the visa application process.So here we have to submit all docs to VFS office prior to the visa Interview.I dont know about your country specific process.May be you have to follow NCS,but i am not sure.Somebody from your country can answer ur question.
