Hi everyone!

I have two questions about the medical examination.

1. I wonder if people with cronic diseases might have the visa denied. I've heard they only require blood test and x-ray, which is OK because my health is fine now, I just have to keep taking care of myself. But I still wonder if they ask about diseases you have, surgeries we've had, medications we've taken, etc.

2. I take immunosuppressors so I'm not able to take any vaccinations. I've heard the visa applicant has to take several different vaccines, so do I have any risk of having my visa denied because of this? If my doctors write a document saying I'm not able to take these vaccines, is there still any risk of having the visa denied?

Thank you all!

They only discriminate people who have TB or HIV or AIDS.

As long as you have none of the above (or have your TB cured), and don't take and never have taken any illegal drugs, no problem.

(Or a few other diseases that could be dangerous to the others, like typhoid fever etc. But even those are fine when they are in the past, all cured now.)

The immunosuppressant issue may be a medical reason to do a vaccination waiver for you.

Bring documents about your health issues (that cause the need for suppressants) when you'll have the medical. That should do it.

They do ask if you've had any surgeries, longer stays in hospitals, if you've had any mental health issues etc. If the immunosuppressants are e.g. because of an organ transplant, that shouldn't be a problem.
