The irony is that Harry Reid owes his survival to none other than Sarah Palin. Biden's old seat in Delaware stays with the Dems thanks to none other than Sarah Palin. Same holds for the seat of the late Sen. Byrd of WV. These are three races which the GOP should have easily taken away and they could have were it not for the tea party crazies nominating unelectable candidates.

Actually, I made no such claim. What I am claiming is that the mainstream GOP Senate candidates in NV and DE would have easily won these two seats last night. The tea party crazies have dealt themselves a defeat and even brought Harry back to Washington. Seriously, Harry couldn't have done it without Palin and the crazy pack that follows her.

Dude, you are too smart of believe a 87% election rate in the house is a defeat.

The senate seats are harder nuts to crack and we would agree, The tea Party fielded second rate players.. but even so if you take The DE example,... here we had a Candidate who spent weeks with no party support and never gained the endorsement of her Primary opponent.

Fighting a campaign on the left and the Right in a blue State is not very promising.

No but if she replaces the front-runner in DE (GOP) with an unelectable ditz, single-handedly paves Harry's way back to D.C. and then get's slapped in her home state where people were rather troubled to write in their incumbent Senator than support this fella Sarah had picked, then I'd say she's done a good bit of damage to herself and the GOP.
