What Will Democrats Do To Screw Over The American People (and Republicans) During The "Lame Duck Session?"

What is so beautiful about it? It's quite pathetic that a party with NO ideas of its own other than "lets not do what they say" wins. Well, it's more pathetic to lose to a party that has no discernable ideology of its own other than "no".

I suppose all this is riding on who will be the candidate for the republicans in 2012. If they nominate one of their mental midget front runners like Palin or Romney, then Obama will win re-election. If they nominate someone like Mitch Daniels, they will win easily.

What happened? Did your dream of an American utopia get dashed on the rocks last night? Your dream, my nightmare.

After all, Clinton worked with a Republican house/senate and managed to balance the budget! If Obama is so great, he could do it too! ;)

Working together, Republican code word for impeachment.

I expect that a good number of republicans will want to work together on issues like Obama's birth certificate.

The party which actually drove the country into recession and was responsible for the largest number of job loses during this recession.

Hillbillies also forget Bush is who bailed out the banks and banks alone. Obama stimulated the overall economy, which stopped the hemorrhaging, including the saving of two US auto manufacturers that would have now ended up in the history books.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Bailouts were post '06 elecions - See Democrat run house/senate.

You fail my friend.

Everything happens with them.

Bush can veto, but Dems had to vote to make it happen.

One of the best things that can happen at a Federal level of government is a stalemate.

With no line-item veto, that's exactly what it's going to be.

Ahhh, so then it was the fault of the congress, now it's the fault of the president.

Who is going to be to blame this time, if the economy does not significantly improve in two years?

well since the dems are still in control of 2/3 of the federal govt. i would say the dems.

Yep. Though, they are not exactly in control of the senate, since they only have like 49 seats. 60 is needed to pass anything right?

The blue dog clowns screwed it for them. The biggest strategic mistake Obama made though, was going for health care off-the-bat. Their #1 focus should have been getting the economy on track, then focus on health care.

It's like struggling to put food on your table, getting help from people you know, but then ordering the Cadillac with every option.

Republicans did that too, but Dems cannot rely or control republicans. Republicans played a cunning game of poker and bet on Americans forgetfulness and won.

Why else would anyone purchase a car, from the same person who stole their misses? Who in turn took everything from them and left them with nothing. That's exactly how I see the Bush years. It's also how I see this election win. So when people say I am mad today, damn straight I am, as I think how ###### stupid can people be. He ###### stole everything you had yet the first chance you get, after you saved back up for a used car, you give him your business. That is absolutely ###### moronic.

Dam straight it says a lot about the voters in this country. It also says they deserve the ###### poverty and dark future they will get. The same party who put small business out of business and allowed Walmarts to take over everything, now claims they are for the little guy. Every second person I know owns a small business, we also don't have the likes of walamrts or taco bells. I know all too well about what works and who ###### over small business and it ain't bloody dems.

Don't play coy, it doesn't suit you.

not playing coy. just pointing out that the president & the dems have been lying to the public about the republicans blocking everything. they haven't been able to block or obstruct anything. its been the dems fighting over who get what for their vote that has been the problem for the last 20 months.

I thought you were playing coy with that comment about the democrats having 60 votes before. Yes, there technically were 60 people who regularly caucus with the democrats. However, of those 60, at least 15 were Blueturd's , one independant, and Joe Liebermann. So in reality, they really only had 38-42 votes, depending on the topic. I guess the good news now is that the Democrats don't actually need Liebermann, hopefully they will kick him from the caucus and strip him of his chairmanships.

That means they are debating things, which is a sign of responsible government. Unlike the knee-jerk, run off to two wars that the country had no chance in hell of ever winning. One would think the party would have learned from the utter failure in Vietnam, to not to start ideologically driven wars that cannot be won. Nevertheless, how was this war paid for? Borrowed from China.

Funny how when it comes to things Repubs deem important, basically dumb wasteful ####### like defense, then borrowing even $200 trillion an hour from Iran, Venezuela, NK or even Bin Laden is not an issue. The largest socialist organization in the world is the United States defense industry, yet it's the one spending Repubs don't want to touch.

the funny thing is the blaming either way. both parties knew what was happening would end in a crash, yet noone did anything about it. now its the other guys fault.

eta: now that it has happened & the dems are mostly in control. like it or not, the problem of fixing it is on their plate.
