Is it a very big deal if the packet for the I-130 and I-129F is not assembled exactly as stated here on VJ? I sure hope not. Also I did not do a cover letter for the I-129F. They should have included this information on the instructions for each form. :crying: I am so worried. I love the site but I just wish I had found it before I sent off the I-130 in July and the I-129F on Aug. 15th! Best wishes to everyone.

Take a deep breath, because so far, you've gotten NOA1 for the I-130 and have sent the I-129f. If they want a cover letter, you may get an RFE. There's no doubt the forms can be confusing. It's easy to make a mistake or omit something. You've done the best you can and can't change history, so relax and wait to see what's next.

If it's any consolation, they don't seem to have paid one lick of attention to my coverletters anyway. If they had, they would have seen that my husband and I did not meet through a marriage broker, because I described in full how we met! :P I think the coverletters are a "nice to do" rather than a "need to do."

13 Feb. 2006 - sent I-130; 14 Feb. 2006 - I-130 received at Nebraska

28 Feb. 2006 - NOA-1

2 Mar. 2006 - RFE for payment problem; 3 Mar. - corrected & mailed; 6 Mar. - USCIS rec'd payment

12 June 2006 - APPROVED! (NOA-2)

20 June 2006 - case number assigned

3 July 2006 - DS-3032 and AOS Fee bill generated; 6 July - emailed DS-3032 Choice of Agent

13 July 2006 - Received DS-3032 (UK)

14 July 2006 - DS-3032 mailed to NVC

17 July 2006 - DS-3032 and AOS Fee received in mail

19 July 2006 - mailed Fee bill to NVC; recieved at NVC St. Louis facility 20 July

Thank you for responding to my question. I am such a worry wart. As of today I still have not received a RFE and my check has not been cleared yet with my bank for the I-129F. I absolutely love this site. I told my friend about it. She also went to Morcco before I did and got married there.

Glad to help, and good luck...it's easy to get antsy and be impatient with this process, but I'm sure your case is moving along smoothly. At least there are many of us here on VJ in the same boat! The best thing we can do is help each other and share our experiences. I know nothing makes me feel better than knowing I'm not alone, and you'll find many people here to help!
