Gridlock is a great way to move the country forward.

won't happen unless the Dems become the "party of NO" That would not be so good for Obama in 2012 or the next 1/3 or Senators. Don't kid yourself. There are enough Blue Dog senators to join Repubs on key votes and carry the senate

For sure so we get at the least token smaller deficits.helpsmilie.gif

Funny how so-called socialist countries have lower to almost no deficit.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Reagan, Bush Sr, and Bush Jr. ran the deficit up through the roof. Clinton took it down. Goes to show why Repubs aren't just ignorant, but how they give the US a bad name by making us look like a country of brain dead zombies.

Eight years of Bush, Cheney and Rove and these zombies still haven't learned anything. They won't be happy until a Repub breaks this country's back....well kind of like the last Bush did.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

Don't feed the trolls. Ignorance is bliss.

You're one to talk, considering your every second post of four words contains socialist in it.

you really are ignorant aren't you?

Actually he is stating facts, like the largest number of jobs were lost during the Bush administration, than under Obama.

Libertarians don't like facts though, as they tend to go against opinions.

I guess he didn't realize that the House was in Democratic hands from 1955 to 1994.

We aren't talking Congress...don't even go there with that one. It's played out.

no, you're ignorant for not looking at all the details under the shiny night skyline.

Not everything is about the "President."

At the end of the day it takes a lot of people to tango.

1981-1993 - Repub Pres - Dem Congress

1993-1994 - Dem Pres - Dem Congress

1995-2000 - Dem Pres - Repub Congress

2001-2006 - Repub Pres - Repub Congress

2007-2008 - Repub Pres - Dem Congress

2009-2010 - Dem Pres - Dem Congress

2011-???? - Dem Pres - Repub House/Simple Majority Dem Senate

note the bolded section is when a balanced budget was obtained.

Now when you're ready not to be some party hack who's ignorant of all the facts out there, then we'll talk.
