Grr I called today, the woman on the phone was pretty helpful. She also gave me the July 16th processing date over at TSC. I asked her what I was supposed to do next. JUST.KEEP.WAITING?

She said to call back in a week. At least she didn't tell me to call back 180 days from my transfer notice, sheesh.

It's not really helpful, they gave us that date a few weeks ago. And mine is June 29th, still nothing. Don't trust them, they give random answers.

It's always July 16th or 17th isn't it? They told us that early December!!

Appeasement is their plan. I am starting to think it's not worth calling the USCIS at all. I think we're all stuck until we're approved.

Hi everyone

Well it has been six weeks since we recieved our NOA2 approved petition and still NVC hasn't recieved our case from the texas service center. Dantes and I have simular cases we both have wifes in the philippines with US citizen children, we both recieved our NOA 2 on the 23rd of November and we are still both waiting for Texas to send our cases to NVC. I know Dantes has called just about every day with really no results except wait wait wait. when i called the operator told me to read her the approval notice and when i got to the part where it says to wait 90 days befor calling the NVC she told me to stop. She really made me feel like a fool for calling her befor the 90 days were up. Others I know who were approved around the same time as us already have case numbers and appointments at the embassy. Every time i call i get the run around Texas says NVC has our case and NVC says Texas has our case. Our Youngest daughter turns Two in feburary and really thought we would all be together for her birthday but with each passing day that hope fades has anyone recieved their case number from NVC yet????? For all of you who havent recieved your noa2 yet i feel your pain i just hope when you are approved you dont have to suffer the same pain as us (being approved but not going anywhere) may your journey be much quicker than ours

Be careful though mate, After all it is up to CBP whether they let anyone in. Im not so sure if there are any stipulations re the vwp right now. i know obviously you have to spend more time in your own country than in the US. I would check first though And as Im sure you're aware - if she can bring evidence to say she still has ties to her own country - the stronger the better.

I was pulled into secondary a few years ago after flying back and forth on the vwp. a couple of 90 days stints in the US was enough to alert CBP.

Just be careful and I hope you get through this process soon.

I agree, but it seems even expedites don't work at TSC. I know two of us who have been approved expedite since November have heard nothing at all - just stone walling from the USCIS. Even the Tier 2 officers can't understand why we haven't been contacted/approved.

We have contacted the Whitehouse with no response, contacted our Senator who is doing his best, but with no response from TSC.

I think we SHOULD write to the media as one, and we'll be working on an email today.

Hey Richi - thanks for your input on this thread - you're a good man.

I agree. We should absolutely write to the media. I have written to the President, but they just forward the letter to the State Department. I think it's important that people know what we're going through. Maybe then the people that represent us and create these situations will feel pressured to do something to help us. I will write to my local paper in Annapolis, MD as well as to the Washington Post. Who else is willing to write?

Few minutes ago we spoke with the USCIS and same answer, they are processing 16 July petitions and the fact that the approval can take up to 8 months. Also they did not opened a service request because we are in the processing time after almost 6 months from our NOA1. The transfer to supervisor was not made because they told us that we will have the same answer from them. So tired of this lies ....

For everyone asking about what they should write when contacting media and government officials, here is a suggested structure and talking points.

I do not recommend creating a form letter which is merely signed by everyone as it would not convey the varied hardships we are experiencing. Those hardships are the meat of the story if this makes it to press. Only providing this as starting point for those who need one. Recommend you tailor this for your purposes.

Intro/hook: Major errors made by USCIS resulting in significant delays for 72000 people - 36000 cases.

USCIS not admitting errors, not proactively resolving errors, and providing conflicting information on status and next steps.

Whole process is opaque making it difficult and time-consuming to navigate.

Forcing us to pursue alternate avenues such as contacting Congressional reps and Senators. Indicates system is failing and someone needs to draw attention to this failure.

You story: Tell your story beginning with the fact that it is typical of others in the same situation.

Conclusion: Immigration reform is not only about border control.

36000 hard-working American citizens are having their families destroyed by USCIS errors, disregard and negligence.

Please help us have a voice so that we can initiate change and reunite our families.
