I just got approved. Praise God! We're on the way!!!!

I am very pleased that you have finally gotten the approval. Thanks to the Lord. Today, I submitted a letter and documentation to my Congresswoman and Senator. Hopefully that will help us all. The Deputy Director, for my Congresswoman 5th District, Eastern Washington State, said, "You've come to the right place!" which made me feel good. He said that they will get busy on it right away and that they have had trouble with TSC before.

hi rpratt! I just wanna know if did you already received an email from TSC or they updated your case on uscis site? cuz you got approve on jan.7 then you know already that your case was approve.. :D

Hope us June/July/August filers can stay in touch, and help one another through the NVC and Consular stages. Although our spouses are from different countries, I feel a bond with all you guys. This has been a roller-coaster of a ride so far, but I feel things will start picking up for us now. I have faith that we will all be reunited with our families within the next 3 or 4 months.

And also let's hope that this signifies the end of YOUR problem DanTes. I think you ended up in an even worse position than us. Saying you're approved, then sending you that letter was almost the same as winning the lottery and losing the ticket. Let's hope TSC had some people down from CSC to put them straight on a few matters, and now all is good!kicking.gif

I checked the USCIS website last night at 10:30PM and noticed it was approved. Then I received both an email and a txt msg of the approvals for each petition (I-130 & I-129F) around 10:43PM because I signed up for both txt and email notification.

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/17/11- received by Bogota, emailed consulate and was told to send DS-230 and DS-2100 (packet 3)

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

3/31/11- Interview date! Approved!!!!!!

"According to the Texas Service Center, the Western Service Center transferred 36,000 I-130 petitions to their office and they are all falling in that same time frame and they are processing these as fast as they can which involves a 5 month turn around to complete all of these applications.

The Texas Service Center's Congressional Unit has ordered your file to be sent to the EXAMS Unit in which it will be then assigned to an examiner. You should receive a decision or other Notice of Action within 45 to 60 days."

So, yeah.

Well, this is probably the most truthful answer I have seen. They wouldn't dare tell a congressman anything but the truth would they? A 5 month turn around from November is March. Why on earth they transferred 36,000 petitions when CSC are now approving in 3 months is unfair, but what can we do? I am much more happy that our friend rpratt got approved - it shows we are on our way, and I'm getting cautiously optimistic. I feel we'll see many more approvals next week - I just hope some of us are amongst them!
