LOL... close but not really- i'm a physician, and i also do research on cancer stem cells :D

Great, because I have this rash that's been bugging me--- j/k! :P

I had to go buy a tiny space heater because I was going to lose my mind with this crazy weather. With you being from Chicago I would think you'd be enjoying this "warmer cold"!

if anyone else except me has called USCIS and tried to get info on this transfer, they are more than welcome to share their experience. Asking and getting correct info is lot better than guessing and hoping.

i called the USCIS inquiring about my application cz i too gt transfer to tsc from csc,,,im a late june filer ..after i entered my receipt number the automated voice told me to wait for another 180 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF TRANSFER.....my hopes came tumbling down after hearing it....right now im waiting for a live customer service representative from USCIS so i could raise WHY and WHY and WHY.....

ANYONE here that talked to a live customer service representative from USCIS? what did they say about the transfer?....

I just called to listen to the automated message and it said the same thing. They are out of their dang minds if they think we're just gonna sit around for another 6 months waiting.

well don't listen to this message.

But that is for sure, USCIS thinks they own our lives and they can do whatever they want to do,, I was expecting they will admit their error and help us by real speed up. But this message says something else. I was said by tier 2 person clearly that your 5 months waiting period will not get restart because of transfer. Even yesterday tier 2 person told me to wait 6 months from the priority date before initiate Service Request (not the date of transfer), he told me now USCIS works centrally and all the service center are equally capable to process the case and they help each other in reducing back log.

Now I have to call them again and ask what is this.

Why do they do such a stupid things ? are they real human beings ? Don't they have their wives and children ? Then why they are playing games with other's lives ?

i was told (tier 2 person) when i called even though we are over our 5 months that the 5 months is from the date on the transfer notice (which for most of us was changed to a little later date from NOA1) and that the 5 months is just a guideline, give it an extra 30 days after that.

Edited by nab

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

I haven't seen any but this is a very long thread. It's a good question.
