I just don't know, Me and my wife. I wouldn't want an immigration officer, who has the power to delay or refuse an application, to get so irritated that they make us pay somehow. The process has already been unfair and I feel helpless right now and I don't know what they can do to damage our cases. Maybe there is nothing to worry about, but there is always a possibility that some individual who is irritated can do something that will have negative consequences. I just don't know. That is why I am being so cautious.

I agree, we are already damaged,

What a fair service to US Citizens....

We are the lucky fellows who got transferred to TSC and now we are supposed to wait for another month or so for getting a decision,,, let me mention one more time here that all late june filers and some of July filers are already out of 5 months. USCIS says us to wait another 60 days for these applicaitons.

AND CSC STARTED TO APPROVE SEPTEMBER FILES,,,, (THEY TRANSFERRED JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST FILES TO TSC, I GUESS TO TEACH TSC HOW TO WORK ON THE FILES,,, WE ARE THE TEST SPECIMENS HERE)

check this out

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/285465-got-approval/

Mr Er. Thanks for posting this. I would not have known otherwise. While this is horribly unfair, it will serve as more evidence as I write to my Congresswoman tonight explaining how inequitable the process has been.

Someone asked earlier about what to do to stay positive. Having faith that the process was fair made me stay positive before. I believed that no matter what, at 5 months I would have my approval. That is not how it turned out.

So at this point, I will say taking action to try and manage this process the best I can helps. Calling the TSC, calling and writing to my Congresswoman, getting advice from others like you who are going through the process all help. Positive thoughts/prayers do not do anything because we are not talking about mother nature or acts of God. These are human beings who are making (or not making) decisions that affect our lives. May sound harsh, but I am over 5 months still waiting for an approval and have been apart from my husband for nearly a year. I'm going to do everything I can to take control of this situation in order to stay positive.

U&S, I completely agree with you,, but you will feel more slave-ness and powerless-ness once you will be let down by your congressman. Remember, we just had elections and there is no possibility to have them in short future. I tried it, you try and let us know, I wish you get success.

I am in August filer the 14th to be exact. Do you think it would be smart to send a letter to my congresswoman in the middle of the month around my 4 month mark or do I have to wait until I'm at or rather close to my 5 month mark. I hope I'm not discouraging you as an August filer talking about this but we are all going through it!

Good luck to everyone (especially those who have past their 5 month mark) approvals are on their way!

I think you should wait until the 5 month mark, that's when the higher powers actually start to care, if at least a little bit. I am just over a week away from my 5 month mark and I will wait until that day to write my congressman. The USCIS says "5 months" on the site so there's no use contacting the congressman if you're still within the timeframe USCIS has given.

It seems though that August and September filers are getting approved before July filers, and July just ended up getting the short end of the stick. I bet you will be approved before your 5 month mark. But if it makes you feel better why not write the letter in case you need to send it on your 5 month date? I think I will do the same.

and then you will get the responses like wait another 60 days, or 120 days, or the 5 months is just a guideline.

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

NAB - I love it! You couldn't state it better than you did! Completely unfair organization. In fact, this all appears to me that this country still believes is the best, wealthiest, etc in the world. Gosh - I love it to death and would die for it, but just by such actions and treatment of us - HONEST citizens - causes me to believe otherwise. We are treated like worst category "citizens." That's ridiculous. And we all on this board are intimidated by it as we are at its mercy. Thanks for destroying my truly honest bona fide marriage. I suffer, my wife suffers, my family suffers. Just to be fair and act honest as this is the foundation of this country - our country we love, cherish, and are willing to die for! Another day, weekend, hour, minute, second spend without my loved one. Awesome - perfect marriage or what? :-)
