Just a quick update for everyone.

Bad news: my husband left this afternoon :(

Good news: I updated the spreadsheet! I went through and added people I missed on this thread and caught up with everything that happened this past week. I also added three more columns to the spreadsheet: date of transfer to USCIS office, date of post decision activity, and the wonderful NOA2 (which I hope fills up quickly). I'll be updating the spreadsheet more this week as I'll go through Igor's list and add those people who did not write in this thread.

Good luck to all those in Texas! I hope you all receive NOA2s this week!

(And just in case, here's the link to the spreadsheet: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AtbvTEwLyHz1dFg5U1g1UGd1RTQwZWF1V09UTnY4dWc&hl=en#gid=0)

Yeah, after I posted... I read one of the guides on here and now have a better understanding of the process. I guess I should've done the research BEFORE I posted.

ROFL at "hiccups"

First (YOU) have to be approved before the next step happens,

You should be after approval still 5 month before interview

date from NOA-2 to interview depending on Embassy back log

Than you still have to do your I-864 and DS-0230 and than later

all the documents go to the Embassy and they in turn will, send you

a interview date when it time. To soon for interview date yet.

The whole process take about 230 to 285 days from NOA-1 to interview

in most cases.

Good Luck :):)

Hoping it means, they'll process our I-129F's and send them to NVC 1st, so we can complete the K-3 process. After all, we would've never submitted the forms if we didn't intend to go that route. Good luck!

add us to that I-129F touch count today!

no kidding!

that's what ours says also

Hi. What do you mean by your reply "no kidding!"?

see quotes... was agreeing with you... we also would not have filed for K-3 if we wanted the CR1, we have reason for needing the K-3 instead.

Edited by nab

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

Even if you wanted to file the K-3 and wanted it, the K-3 is dead, CR-1 replaces it anyway.

They convert from K-3 to CR-1 ..You dont have no choice about it.

THE I-129 will terminate later once your approval as it goes into the CR-1

Good Luck you should need to add ABOUT 5 months from your NOA-1 until your approval

at NOA-2 starts the next process, than the next after NVC, than next Consulate and

interview last. About 285 days from NOA-1 to interview ABOUT so so.

thanks so much for updating the speadsheet, nice to see it laid out like that because some days it seems like theres all these approvals and i get to feeling like "where's ours?" then i see it's not really that many, just a lucky few.

From my understanding, as long as the I-130 is not approved prior to the I-129F, and doesn't hit NVC prior to I-129F or at the same time as the I-129F, I can still do the K-3. That's the information NVC has told me, so, that is what I'm going with. But, thanks anyway!

"Effective February 1st, 2010, when both petitions have been approved by USCIS and sent to the NVC or when USCIS approves the I-130 before the I-129F, the availability of, as well as the need for, a nonimmigrant K-3 visa ends. If the NVC receives both an approved I-130 petition and an approved I-129F petition:

The nonimmigrant K-3 visa case will be administratively closed.

The application process explained below will not be available to the foreign-citizen spouse and cannot be used.

The NVC will contact the U.S. citizen sponsor and foreign-citizen spouse, with instructions for processing the IR-1 (or CR-1) immigrant visa. For more information on the immigrant visa process, review the Immigrant Visa for a Spouse webpage.

If the NVC receives the approved I-129F petition before it receives the I-130 petition, the NVC will process the I-129F petition."
