you really have to wait that long to talk to an operator? Ouch.....any other way to find out? lol

Yup, that long to get an operator. You can always find out through the AVR, BUT my AVR only updated about my NVC case number TWO days after I had gotten it from an operator. I would highly suggest calling an operator, despite the wait, since they'll know way in advance of the AVR.

Yeah, weird thing is, it always says the wait is five minutes....

Definite lie, lol Shortest time it's taken me so far is 20 minutes.

Based on the VJ spreadsheet statistics and assuming it is a good sample.

approximately 25,000 more cases need to be approved.

approximately 2,000 cases transferred to CSC (I have a feeling that it's more and we just haven't all been notified yet).

Since we didn't really see any approvals for the past week until yesterday. I feel like we should assume that most of those cases may have been backlogged. Still that brings TSC up to 2000 cases per week, for a monthly total of 8000 (up from 5000 per month in Jan).

For now, I would stick my my estimate of mid march for all approvals to be final. I hope they prove me wrong though.

Yeah, I'm not calling from the US either. But I signed up for Google Voice, and now I have an app in my Gmail account that lets me call the NVC for free over my internet connection

CONGRATS, and what is better, is that we are getting NVC special treatment. We must remind the staff there when we call!!

Yes, that's the one. Technically, when it comes through from her, it's Angela.Barrows@dhs.gov but I'm sure the upper case makes no difference in email.
