Did you hear anything todaY?

Nope, not yet. She said the USCIS Status page would update either today or tomorrow so I have one more day to wait. If I do not hear anything by COB tomorrow, I will email her again about the expedite through NVC and Embassy as well as call her out on the status update.

If I have no reply, the emails and explanation will posted on the blog and I'll get my people deployed again on FB & Twitter.

Even with the upsurge in good will this week, the reality is that three more weeks will mark 8 months since my petition was received by the USCIS. I have renewed hope, but like some here, we'll believe it when we see it.

Based on the evidence at hand, it appears that the 5 month clock was re-set to zero on our petitions when they were transferred to the TSC. Being a little over two months away from DOUBLE the normal processing time adds credence to this view.

I am just wondering if TSC closed early.

Another winter storm has hit Texas - it's been snowing since 12 midday, and is forecast to carry on until the morning.headbonk.gif

This could explain the lack of activity this afternoon..

Not to be negative, but maybe realistic, let's analyze the email below:

Good Afternoon

Thank you for contacting us about your I-130 petition. We understand the effects our processing times can have on applicants and are working diligently to shorten the processing time. You should receive a notice on your I-130 petition by February 18, 2011. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Thank You

Officer Garza

Notice the word "should", not "will". That means we may or may not hear anything by then. And, what does the word "notice" mean to the USCIS? This could mean anything, including notification of another delay. They did not use the word "decision".

Let's keep hoping for the best, and some institutional integrity.

My email also used "should" but i was ensured i would be contacted at the end of the business day. I dont give a ####### if there is a damn blizzard, i want answers and i am not waiting. I will not sit with my mouth shut starting from tomorrow morning. I will re-mail EVERYONE.

When assurances are made, and dates and promises are put in writing, it's much easier to hold someone accountable. They are messing with peoples lives and emotions here. 30 minutes to COB?
