For those of you getting email alerts whenever a post in this thread, I can hear you know, "Damn that SqdnGuns, not again!!"

Well, my persistence paid off, I just got an email from the Director of the Texas Service Center, this is a reply to one that I sent to her 20 minutes before getting this reply.

Mr. Grant,

Thank you for your email. I had received one over the weekend from you and your case was approved this morning. You should be able to see it on the case status online tomorrow or Wednesday. I would have to agree with you that the process was temporarily broken, but we have taken steps to correct this and we will have all cases processed within the next weeks. Hopefully your future experiences with USCIS and with TSC will be more positive. My apologies for your wait, and I hope that your son recovers soon and fully.

Regards,

Angela K. Barrows

I truly hope that hey have fixed their errors for the sake of the rest of you. I am waiting to hear back from her whether our case will be expedited @ NVC and the Embassy.

Congratulations!! God is listening and answering prayers at the right time. The right time isn't what we always want or think it should be but there is a greater plan we don't see (at least this is my belief system, sometimes I contradict it, but in the end I believe in some of these cliches "everything happens for a reason".

This has given some of us in this thread some hope. I truly pray we all hear good things in this week, or the next, especially for you 8 and 7 "monthers". I only turned 6 months recently, I can't imagine seeing March come with no approval, but I'm sure a lot of you weren't expecting to see February either.

Come on TSC, we need these approvals to start flooding in!!! :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Nice to see a great deal of honesty in the TSC Director's response. I respect that. good.gif

I totally agree.

I'm also pissed off that the system was placed in a compromising situation that would cause it be "broken". This is costing us money and our precious time away from loved ones. Something with that move to TSC went terribly wrong. I hope they work out the kinks so that something like this wont happen again or at least to this degree. No one just be waiting 8 months for a petition approval, especially with another period of waiting in the NVC process ahead. *sigh*

I'm very happy that someone responded with some honesty though. We all needed and have wanted to hear something like this.

I am happy for honesty, but i would also like some compensation for the time i have lost and for the emotional heartache.

Time, money, heartache and what feels like 10 years off our lives.

I would like to know who countenanced this transfer - they are the real villains of the piece. I may have just a little sympathy for the Texas Service Center right now.

Provided that VJ is an accurate test sample of approvals, that means there are only 27000 more cases for TSC to handle with about 25% approved. About 5500 cases were approved in January. So unless something drastic happens over there, I am guessing that we won't see the end of this until late March.

I would also venture to guess that they ship the cases(and we all saw what that looks like in the photo) to the NVC in bundles of 3,000 to 5,000 cases, not one at a time or immediately. So that is my guess as to why the NVC transfer is taking so long.

In contrast CSC approves around 20,000 per month. So weekly shipments to the NVC would be around 5,000 per week.

Of course, I wouldn't venture to guess how they actually get them from the service centers to the NVC. For all I know they might be using the Pony Express.
