Glad things look like they are speeding up for the CSC K-3 and IR-1/CR-1 filers. I hope that it has the ancillary effect of speeding up times for the CSC K-1 filers. Just a hope.

I am little confused with this statement. I hope "special" is good word in this situation

I also hope for good, I can say one thing for sure based on that conversation with USCIS that BOTTOM LINE IS 5 MONTH TIME FRAME DOES NOT GET AFFECTED BY THIS TRANSFER, WE CAN ALWAYS CONTACT THEM OR CONGRESSMAN AFTER 5 MONTHS

Good Luck

Well I am also in a same boat (which I almost started to believe a sinking TITANIC until this morning. I am June filer and my 5 month frame period is very close to pass. I called USCIS and luckily I was able to reach to reprentative and he told me that transferring case to other service center does not affect 5 month period, it does not add up more months and you can always call back when you are certainly out of stated 5 months period. He also told me that reason for this transfering is that now Texas office is processing special cases which may include finalizing process as well (although his first words were I AM NOT SURE BUT......)

Which may prove good news for us..

hope for the best

Thank god :innocent:

Im not sure if this applies, but I found this on immigrate2us. Im thinking it may not BUT Im throwing it out there just in case.

anita: I am LPR, I have applied I-130 for my husband on Dec9, 2009. I have just got the letter it says

Notice Type: Transfer notice

and

preliminary processing of the above above application has been completed, and it has been transfered to the USCISoffice at: 6500 e campus circle drive , irving, tx75063. That office will notify you when they schedule an interview on the aplication or pretition. Any futher inquires should be made to that office

I was just wondering is this mean my I-130 is aproved? what is the next process after this?

katherine: No, it does not meant that. It means that, for some reason (usually, although not always, involving questions about the relationship), they want to conduct an interview before adjudicating the I130.

Does it mean that cases transferred to Tx as being sent there for further 'in depth' processing or is Tx just helping out, so to speak?

This notice reads entirely differently than the other notices mentioned in this thread. Here's the text from one of the four I've seen in the last two days. Compare and see. Pay special attention to the status remaining "Initial Review". Further, the Texas Service Center is in Mesquite, TX. Irving is a local office.
