I sent affidavits, photos, and of course the marriage license along with google chat logs. Now you guys are making me nervous. At least in theory they SHOULD respond quickly after you forward them the evidence they requested, so you guys are nearly done. I'm wondering for those who got approved, what kind of evidence of bonafide marriage did they include in their applications? Why are some newlyweds getting RFEs while other's aren't? Perhaps they are training themselves on the RFE process?

We got the exact same thing, its almost seven months passed for us and they need that even though we sent all those out already. i even sent a copy of my wedding guestbook!!!!

I'm thankful to you for taking on this effort. I think somebody else had the right idea with contacting law firms that have handled similar class-action suits in the past. I think the typical immigration lawyer who collects a fat fee for taking our papers and putting them in the mailbox for us is unlikely to help us.

I think today, I will be speaking with a immigration lawyer today, and discussing the violations of the US Code that have been committed by the USCIS.

Goooooooood morning from Miiiiiami! B-)

Are you SERIOUS? It took them THIS LONG to request proof of your wedding? AFTER you had already sent it?!?!?!? ####### does that have anything to do with security background checks anyway? I ask that because I thought that was why our cases are being delayed- supposedly our petitions are undergoing some sort of security checks.

Unbelievable.

It doesn't have anything to do with background checks...I don't even try to understand...It's a complete nonsense RFE. We are going to give them ONCE AGAIN what they already have and that's it.

BTW, My inlaw, my Hubby's 75 years old Mom, took a flight from NY all the way down to AL (2h layover in ATL) just to be there and see his son happiness. So...#######???

This is just beyond everything. You're not from a country with a lot of fraudulent activity. Your marriage took place in the States and I assume you submitted a certified copy of your marriage license but they didnt' loose that. They're 3 months behind on our petitions and they still have time for this bullshit. Basically this means instead of approving my petition they're wasting time on meaningless RFEs.

From the USCIS website seems Dallas is closed again today and cases will not be updated over the weekend. I'm bowing out for the weekend. Good luck!

I think today, I will be speaking with a immigration lawyer today, and discussing the violations of the US Code that have been committed by the USCIS. I will also mention the CFR's that Fermat was so nice to post up. I will be submitting a FOIA to the USCIS in regards to this case, to find out exactly what the hold up is on there end. But at the same time, I will be engaging a lawyer to assess what recourse we have by filing in Federal Court against the USCIS for the violations of the US Code. If anyone else is speaking to an attorney about possibly using the Federal Courts and bringing suit against USCIS, lemme know. If there is a valid basis for the case to go forward, I'm sure that it will be a class action lawsuit.

I'm tired of not having my wife with me, and soon to be child. So no more, I'm done with writing, I'm done with calling, I'm done with begging my reps in Washington.. it's time to take the only recourse left, and that is to file against the USCIS for violations of the USC and CFR's and them not doing anything to correct the situation.

 If it can go, perhaps it will spark a little fire under the TSC...

I am totally with you. How long we stay like this? tossed out, carelessness, ignored and begging for help.

I contacted senators - they told me to wait for 60 to 90 days

I contacted congressman - they said 36000 cases has been transferred and nothing we can do other tha waiting

I sent email everyone - no response

I contacted USCIS andf placed serice request - did nothing ( i placed 3 already)

I contacted tier 2 personel - they do not have any information regarding my case

No contact number for TSC

What are we supposed to do? Just stay idle and do nothing. Just waiting for any relief.

Or Do something and filed a lawsuit against USCIS for carelessness. (OCt/Nov filers are getting approved and we are f**** ignored.

If we are united and filed a lawsuit against uscis, they will perhaps move forward and do something with our case. I know many of us are afraid that it will just delay our case. What are you gonna expect anyway rather than delay by just waiting for their reply? Days are passing and we expect something happen to our case, but get a disappointment and frustration. We have been suffering from last 7 months. It will take years for TSC to finish 36000 cases. Besides, we will sue with monetary damage over 100 million for making us go through the hell.. If someone contacts the laywer, then we can contribute the money to sue. That is my thought.

Do you chose to do something or do you want to be in the feet of TSC?

Ask for the CIS ombudsmen.
