I hope Jenny is right about her belief. I have received NOA1 on 9th July and have not heard from them yet. I read guys with NOA1 having touched several times. It is now making me nervous about having no response at all on my case. Now thanksgiving and christmas is on the line, noone knows how much it will affect our processing times.

Don't worry at all about not getting touches. There have been dozens and dozens of people here on VJ that didn't get touched at all, not once, yet still got approved. Don't put everything into the whole touch thing. It means little to nothing.

I third that! And I think Jennie got "touches" is because she updated her beneficiary's address a few days prior. I should do that, just so I can see one measly touch. But I really do believe it doesn't matter. We'll get our approval, touches or not!

I fourth that! I really don't know what the heck is going on with mine and all the touches. For all I know they "touched" mine cause they needed a coaster for their coffee. I want to see some approvals up in here! Then we can start talking. Right now it's just a lot of rabble rabble rabble. I'm guessing a lot of nothing was done at the CSC and we August filers are playing catch up to the July filers, so don't get discouraged July filers. I'll keep you guys posted if anything else happens. I want to see a big fat APPROVED from anyone on this board so we know we're moving forward!

Haha, that was about 99% of the reason I sent that letter. I know they're not going to need my husband's new address for awhile, but I just wanted to see if I would get touched. :P I thought the touch on the 18th was just because they got my letter and they were updating my file, but that day, I got the email saying that "my case has been transferred and is now being processed", and I also got another touch the next day. A few other people got touches on the 18th and 19th as well, so that gave me some hope.

My general feeling about touches is that they mean very little, but for my own sanity, this is my thought process:

- When I'm not getting touched for months at a time: "That's ok, some people don't get any touches until the day they are approved, not to worry."

- When I do get touches: "Ooh, maybe someone is actually doing something with my case and these hellish months of wanting to pull my hair out will be over in the foreseeable future."

Eh, we do what we have to do to stay hopeful.

What actions do people plan to take if they do not receive approval by the five month deadline? I plan to call my Congresswoman and Senators as well as the TSC. Anything else I should be doing?

I haven't even thought about that yet. I was just planning on calling Customer Service. A lot.

I dont understand why you people are in such rush? ?

It takes 5 months or longer if there is no back up in the system

1st of August NOA-1 2010 will be after 1st of January 2011.

Dont get yourself in a rush 5 months is 5 months

Just because it went to TSC MEANS YOUR BEING DONE FASTER......

It just means USCIS IS TRYING TO GET YOUR CLAIM TO TSC

so they can try getting it done by the 5 month and on time,

Not sooner dont get your hopes up to get it at 4 months.

There is no sign of them processing 4 months instead of 5 months.

Just be patient another 5 weeks wont hurt you to make the 5 months

Your talking about processing thousands of people, not a few hundred

at TSC.

Remember this, just think how many are not on Visajourney who arent here

do you think there on a few hundred.

More like a few thousand or more for the August 1st and later NOA-1

so let gather after THE NEW YEAR AND CELEBRATE THAN WHEN THE NOA-2

START ARRIVING THAN ..UNTIL THAN YOUR JUST WISHFUL THINKING ONLY.....

5 MONTHS MEANS JUST WHAT THEY SAY.

:)
