Ran across this i THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY

Why is our I-130 petition transferred from california service to texas service center?

"A good thing that your case got transferred to the texas service center..."

BIG JOKE REALLY ! ! ! :bonk::rofl:

This is what someone with a similar experience posted on another forum: "Our case was also transferred from CSC to TSC. When it first happened a few days ago before I started reading this thread, I sent an email to a friend of mine that specialized in immigration law. Here was her response: "This is a good thing that your case got transferred to the Texas Service Center . In our practice, we see cases being transferred to another Service Center because the Center that has the case has too many cases, and they need to transfer cases out to another Center for faster processing. " Additionally, I spoke with a USCIS agent at the local (Minnesota) USCIS office about a month ago and he explained that I-130`s go through several departments for approval. I understood him to say that one agent doesn`t work on an individual petition start to finish but that different departements review and approve different aspects of the petition/I-130 (i.e. one for citizenship of petitioner, one for fraud, one for legitmacy of relationship, etc.) The USCIS had received our I-130 about 2 months prior to this conversation and, at the time, the only posting on the USCIS website for our I-130 was the receipt date. There were no other indications on the USCIS website as to where our case was in the process or that it had even been looked at. The agent assured me that our case had already been reveiewed and sent on by 5 departments and that these internal USCIS movements are not posted on the status screen that we (the public) can see. The USCIS officer also told me the service centers are being pushed very hard to deliver within the 5 months window. As a result, they are pretty consistant about processing them in the order they were received so there is a better chance of achieving the 5 month goal for all. If you look at the stats onine, the CSC was waaaaaaaay behind and TX doesn`t appear to be receiving or processing any I-130`s. Between the info from my friend (the immigration lawyer) and my conversation with the USCIS agent, I believe that CSC was way behind and transferred A LOT (maybe thousands) of I-130`s to the TSC to speed up the processing. I also believe that even though we don`t see any actions taken on the USCIS website, all of our cases (Jun, Jul, Aug, etc) have been reviewed by many departments and just need to continue to the end of the line (like an assembly line). The movement to TX was done to speed up the I-130`s in process and it is a benefit to all petitions that moved and all that stayed." Sounds like this could be good news!!

I heard this one about 100 times from USCIS

Maybe USCIS at TSC needs to read to also :bonk::bonk::bonk:

Read this ONE " " LAW AT TSC " "

The Dallas Morning News reports today that two regional training centers will open in Dallas in January for new employees of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, a government agency swamped by naturalization petitions. Excerpts:

The move comes as the agency hires 1,500 additional employees nationwide to deal with a surge in citizenship applications. The increase has caused processing time to triple, to up to 18 months in Texas and nationwide.

The number of naturalization applications nearly doubled, to 1.4 million, in fiscal year 2010, as some legal immigrants tried to meet a July deadline for a fee increase, and others reacted to a crackdown against illegal immigrants that spilled into the legal immigrant community.

"These facilities will enhance the agility and focus to confront the complex national security challenges ahead, provide excellence in customer service, and operate effectively across interoffice and organizational boundaries," agency director Emilio Gonzalez said Wednesday.

Dallas will have only of the one three regional offices for Citizenship and Immigration Services, an agency within the Homeland Security Department that has faced mounting lawsuits over the processing delays. Delays which are mounting as many immigration attornies are getting a head start on filings.

Wow. Makes perfect sense to "transfer" thousands of petitions to the TSC that is already "swamped by naturalization petitions".

Texas Service Center

Under the bi-specialization initiative, the Texas Service Center (TSC) is the other regional processing center that focuses on I-140 petitions for immigrant workers and I-485 green card applications, as well as derivative work and travel authorization benefits (EAD work document and advance parole travel authorization). TSC processes cases filed for individuals whose worksites/residences are in one of the following states: AL, AR, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MS, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, OK, PA, PR, RI, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, VI, and WV.

The processing times at TSC are the same as those listed above for NSC, but are really 6 month behind except that I-485 applications for adjustment of status are taking just over 4 months.* This is not necessarily surprising, since this is virtually the same processing timeframe as last year. What is noteworthy is that while TSC previously had the shorter processing time for employment-based I-485s, NSC is now the regional office with the greater efficiency on these cases. TSC has not in the past been processing I-130 filings until late 2010.

Oh well maybe this is some bad info and it not really this way>

I suspect TSC pushed the wrong botton, instead of approving the petitions, the employee entered the files as received that day. They only noticed the mistake when they started receiving our claims. So, maybe that's why each time one of us insists by any mean to having an explanation on what's going on, they pick up the file and approve it. Nevertheless I'm afraid if you keep on harassing them, they may just forget our file for a while

We will all be approved and in a very short time. There isn't much we can do. Some heads at TSC & CSC may fall, they will deal with it indoors. I don't believe that Laurel is not aware of this mess, if they told her they made a mistake and it's being solved, why should she make us more worried than what we already are.

I DO worry that aggressive harrasment will put us to the bottom of the pile. Like it or not, it happens. To be honest when I was younger, in the office I worked in, I am sad to say I have done it. I was always a lot more empathetic to the less pushy type of enquiry. Who knows what goes on there. We WILL get approved. The weekend stresses us, but we should remain positive and hopeful. Things WILL happen this week!

There is very sound logic here. Maybe "the collective message" via our phone calls and emails has trickled up sufficiently to make some impact. As tough as this wait is, it is all for the sake of love.

I agree with that. I'll do what I am entitled to do – put in my service request, follow up on that service request, contact my congresspeople – so that my case is not forgotten. But I think harassing them will only incur their wrath.

Here's hoping for some great news this week! Good luck everybody!

what seems veyr odd to me, is that many of us were so very close to our deadline for processing.... would backgrounds checks have already been done...

soemthing soemone said made me think .... and then the fact so many are Floridians.... how many of us VJers who were trasferred are republicans????????? how many of the 36,000 are REGISTERED VOTING REPUBLICANS????

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.

Goodnight to all from a cold UK. We had our weekend vent. We must take comfort in that many of us had the email from Officer Garza, and jellybelly's approval is a prime example in that anything can happen at any time. Our lawyer has been told our case has finished being reviewed, yet is still pending. That tells me that many of us may well be already approved, but just waiting for that keyboard input. Keep the faith - this is the BIG week - it's going to happen. I just hope we haven't rattled too many cages!
