Hello,

I'm new to this forum and I have a few questions that maybe you guys can help me with. I sent in my I-130 to the chicago service center in June. They recieved it on the 1st of july. I got a notification by mail on July 15th that said they had recieved my case, however the letter was sent from the California Cervice Center. Once i made my USCIS account for status update i checked it EVERYDAY and i never got a touch. Four months passed n i get a notification on the 5th of November via e-mail that my case was also transfered to Texas service center on November 1st and on the 7th i got the letter notification at home. I never got a notification that my case was sent to the CSC after i sent it to the Chicago office. Is it normal that my case hasnt been touched other then this or that i have not heard from them about my case?

Hi, welcome :) Yes it is normal, some people don't get any touch and get approved, so don't worry, everything is ok with your case!

I agree with you, best thing is to stay positive  until the 5 months are up.

Definitely. I have found that it is easier to stay positive by being on VisaJourney. One of the nicest things about VisaJourney is the encouragement and perspective that comes from seeing other people's progress and the goodness of those who generously help and support each other. I refuse to get discouraged or set myself up for disappointment before my 5 months are up. And even then we have options.

I received my NOA1 on 9th July. I have signed up for status notification. I did not receive any email from USCIS and have not been touched a single time. I got a hard copy of my transfer to TSC. Was not I supposed to get email regarding my transfer? Does the name of the country affects the processing time? I learnt from you guys that people got approved without a single touch. I hope ours is also the same case. Best of luck to all of us.

Hello All,

I'm new to boards and have been following along for several weeks and want to thank all of you for sharing. It's been very helpful to me and I wanted to contribute a little bit to help keep spirits up. I'm on the same boat in that I've been transferred to TSC from CSC and so far it's been pretty good for me. I hadn't heard squat from CSC and since being transferred to texas it's been touched twice. Here is my time line.
