my guess would be that your last lead is the real officer Garza, not that myspace rent-a-cop

:rofl:Yeah. He was too real and human. You guys have been killing me with all these suspicions and captioned pics. (keep em comin' it's the only thing we got left) I'm going to work now so for the 6 hours I'm not on VJ I can day dream about it. And I don't know about the rest of you but I keep my depression/sarcasm/hatred only to this forum. My family and friends don't really know how upset this situation makes me. So I do stay positive in my "real" life and I hope that I can continue to share my true feelings with you. If you're having a bad day don't be afraid to share it here.

Just a quick update of where I'm at. Texas Service Center hurts my head. I posted this on the August filer thread and just reposted here.

So just an update on my case and something to make you laugh/yell. I was approved on December 23. I have been calling the NVC daily, sometimes talking to an operator, sometimes just doing the automated system, to see if they received my packet yet. Nothing so far. But yesterday I got an email from USCIS stating the following.

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On January 21, 2011, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Really? I get we had the holidays, etc., but #######? Approved on Dec. 23 and shipped on the Jan 21st? What the hell was TSC doing for a month? I'm assuming that when they approved they had everything in front of them in a nice neat packet. Put an official seal on it, shove it in an envelope, and put a bloody stamp on it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad my case is moving forward, I realize I'm very lucky that my case has been approved when so many in my time frame and beyond have not. But it's kind of aggravating to see it takes a month to ship out an already approved case. I'm sure all of us in here are feeling that every day that goes by with out progress is sort of agony. Don't mind me, I'm just venting. Good luck to all and it better start raining approvals up in here. The next federal holiday isn't until Washington's Birthday at the end of Feb! They got a month to get a lot of approvals done!

I understand your venting, but this must come as a real sigh of relief to yourself and others such as Dan Tes & U&S who have been stuck in this position. I suspect TSC are having big training meetings. I think this is good news for all ofus, as we know that we may be dealt with a little quicker when we do eventually get approval.

Good luck good.gif

Ok, CSC is approving September filers, I get that. What I don't get is how even within TSC they clearly do not adjudicate in order of the NOA1 date. Is this due to background checks in different countries take different amounts of time? I wonder if I can use FOIA to request a copy of whatever background check results they are getting. Then I can know exactly when they started checking and how long it's taking.

I've been trying to analyse the country to date approvals in the spreadsheet. They make no sense, and appear totally random. The only thing that seems to show up in the spreadsheet, is that they are approving in small clusters of dates. For example, mid to late August, and also around late July. We are in late July, so I am hoping kicking.gif. Statistically, on balance, it does seem as if they are going backwards, which seems so unfair for the people in late June and early July.

Perhaps they want to minimize the generation of new SRs. As to why it's taking ~30 days to send them out once they are approved, I'm guessing they got a few returned by NVC in the beginning (was Dan tes one of these?) because TSC made a mistake and now they going through additional checks before they ship them.

If this is the case, it's a fairly ruthless business decision based on the minimum amount of "upset people". It's a morally bankrupt decision if this really IS the criteria they are using.

I know it's a little late, but congrats Jellybelly!

Took me awhile to figure out you changed your name :P I was trying to add your approval on the spreadsheet, but there wasn't any Jellybelly, just a jillybean1717. Finally figured it out that was you :)

OK, with comments from a thread on immigrate2us, I think Officer Garza is a woman, and apparently very important.

Could THIS be the REAL Officer Garza?

http://www.linkedin....garza/3/99a/282

I am a LinkedIn member, I just sent her this invite:

Hello, I am taking a stab that you may be the one that e-mailed me this the other day:

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your inquiry. This file will be requested for review.

Thank You, Officer Garza

As you can see, I am persistent in resolving my situation. Would like to hear from you.

One thing I have noticed on the spreadsheet, is that there is a slight balance of approvals to those who did NOT receive the TRANSFER TO AN UNKNOWN USCIS OFFICE email.

But this could just be random. Not sure it means anything.

The clusters around set periods could also be because date batches could be given to differing officers who work quicker than others.

I was thinking and because of the back ground checks, I asked my attorney what he knows and he said TSC is out of control which we already know.

But 1 thing he told me i didnt think of becasue how long they must do back ground checks for some are not as difficult as other. He told me if somebody was married a few times it take longer to do these checks, plus the fact the are training new people to handle these I-130.

So i have to go along with many approvals could be from people who are very young and dont have much of a background check to do, being they are approved sooner.

Everybody take a look at your past and take the fact there are 35,000 people some take shorter some take much longer.

But it could also have to do with the idea they just werent not expecting 35,000 I-130 over night.

So since there is no set pattern yet we dont really know until the next few weeks, and how many or what people are approved and how soon.

But sooner than later we will be approved, the only probelms with be this. What it will cause at NVC in 30 to 90 days once these all start arriving there. Since many are already waiting 1 or 2 months already for NVC.

So what happens to the new people arriving at NVC soon.

The system not ready for them. Or 100,000 or more start getting sent to NVC the system will stop and really back up.

So it will be interesting to see in the next 30 to 60 days what going on.

Just a big PILE up comming soon to someplace like NVC.

Approves here will come but what next tomorrow or next month to get us DONE ?

Lucky I'm here with my wife but soon if things dont change i will start DCF here in Ukraine the Kyiv US Embassy if im not done by March 1st out of NVC. At least i will be done by the July

sooner than what's going on and taking now to get me done. I have the Expedite and even though they are lagging behind about them it still could be a asset later if they get the butts in gear soon.

Good LUCK

Timeline

Not sure what the hold-up in my case is. Neither of us have been married before. My wife has traveled to middle-eastern countries for vacation, but that's not unusual among Europeans. I'm not sure if they have access to her passport at this stage anyway. I heard a lot of people say they think it's taking long because they do or once did work for the federal government or the military. That could be my problem. Ugh, I've had to go through 2 background checks for the federal government in the last 2 years, once as contractor and once as a federal employee. The second one was right after I sent in my I-130. You would think that they would share information but that is obviously not the case.

I was thinking and because of the back ground checks, I asked my attorney what he knows and

he said TSC is out of control which we already know.

But 1 thing he told me i didnt think of becasue how long they must do back ground checks for some are not as difficult as other. He told me if somebody was married a few times it take longer to do these checks, plus the fact the are training new peole to handle these I-130

SO i have to go along with many approvals could be from people who are very young and dont have much of a background check to do, being they are approved sooner.

Everybody take a look at your past and take the fact there are 35,000 people some take shorter soome take much longer.

But it could also have to do with the idea they just werent not expecting 35,000 I-130 over night.

SO since there is no set pattern yet we dont really know until the next few weeks, and how many or what people are approved and hoow soon.

But sooner than later we will be approved, the only probelms with be this. What it will casue at NVC in 30 to 90 days once these all start arriving there. since many are already waiting 1 or 2 months already.

So what happens to the new people arriving at NVC soon.

The system not ready for them. Or 100,000 or more start getting sent to NVC the system will stop and really back up.

SO it will be interesting to see in the next 30 to 60 days what going oin.

Just a big PILE up comming soon to someplace like NVC.
