i know you know this, but that's just nuts. i sponsored my husband 2 yrs ago (this time it's for my stepson) and it should take about a week or so tops to get that nvc number and start rolling there. have you had any luck in getting assistance from your congressman or their congressional liaison?

on meeting up with everyone, i feel a FL roadtrip comin on! :) and love the t-shirt idea. gary, you got somethin up your sleeve on the tshirt topic?

Hi all - Just got an email... approved as of today!! NOA1 July 8th, NOA2 Jan 21st. Transfer CSC to TSC on 11/2 and last touched 11/29. Got an expedite on 12/17 and have been working patiently with my awesome congressional liaison.

This makes me hopeful, my NOA1 is July 8th. Our petitions must have been in the same box. However, I do not have an expedite. What would be a basis for an expedite?

This is what's stated on the site:

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The criteria are as follows:

* Severe financial loss to company or individual

* Extreme emergent situation

* Humanitarian situation

* Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

* Department of Defense of National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

* USCIS error

* Compelling interest of USCIS

USCIS ERROR springs to mind in all cases!!

The ONLY problem is - they seem to be ignoring expedites....

Quite vague categories. However, unless there was a USCIS error I do not know about, I don't think I qualify for an expedite request.

agreed gary... i truly don't think my approval had anything to do with the expedite. if expedites mattered, you & val would be done by now. :yes: "how people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours." - wayne dyer one of my favorites!

Well, I suppose we will never know what is happening at TSC. I'd forgotten you were on expedite, maybe it does make a difference, we just don't know.

I DO think though, that we WILL see big approvals next week. I truly believe a lot of us are already approved and just waiting for TSC to update their systems. It took them 20 days to put them ON the system, it's taking them an age to get the cases processed to NVC. - it follows it may take them an age to get from approval to computer.

Every day, in every way, it's getting better and better. good.gif
