It's not really their fault. It's the lawmakers who created this cluster F*. Then the people who voted them into office. I guess it's kind my fault ultimately.

Garza's a saint huh?

https://www.oag.state.tx.us/oagNews/release.php?id=405

JK

I'm trying to do some research on him/her. I found this on forum from 8/2010 http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?315736-Wrong-PD-printed-on-my-I-485-approval-notice-and-my-wife-s-application-got-affected

Thanks for your reply. If I got you confused, I am sorry!

There is NOTHING printed wrong on my LPR card. I also called USCIS office, they said nothing related to PD will be carried on the LPR card. In another word, if it's only about the PD error, I do NOT need to send my card back.

Only excuse so far from officer was my PD was wrongly assigned which prevented my wife's case got approved. To get it resolved, I called USCIS and spoke to an officer. She said we don't have to send the card back. But once she heard officer Garza asked me to send the card back, she changed the attitude right away, said just do as her instruction...

Really concerned...

Sounds like he/she is really important if the mention of his/her name can cause peasants like us to change the attitude of the high and mighty NCSC staff.

Next time I call I"m going to drop Garza's name.

Now only if Officer Vara had the same effect!

Thank God I found this thread. My petition was received on July 8th. It was transferred to TSC from California in November. Now I have been told repeatedly that it is being held for further review and is therefore taking more time. It seems I have found a group here with similar experiences. I have been watching August I-130s approved while ours collect dust. The last communication I had with USCIS asked me to wait another 6 months before inquiring again!!! I am a USC with a very straightforward I-130 petition.

Welcome, OuterX. I'm in the exact same boat (NOA1 is July 8th) and very straightforward i130 for my 12 yr old Canadian stepson whose father (my hubby) I successfully sponsored for a greencard last year. I'm a USC, no criminal record, gainfully employed, never even had a speeding ticket. :) And we have a signed custody agreement. I think many of us are similar with straightforward i130s, which can make it all the more frustrating. Hang here with us, it does give some hope, and some great ideas for follow up as well. It's gotta happen for us all soon enough... :)

My wife and I have been in the dark about this process, and it was exacerbated by the fact that July seems to have been stalled. I've seen others with very checkered records (overstays / deportations) recently get approval after a 4 month wait. What the...?

We just have to keep patience.
