To add to my previous post::

I have been close to being a pest to one of my senators' and my congressman's immigration people for weeks now. They grew to recognize my voice!

Also I called USCIS customer service every day or two, I politely gave them (tier 2 if possible) as much grief as I was experiencing. I felt that this was a fair trade..

Rickey.

Sorry Nab, I'm in the beginning of October and as of now CSC hasn't processed squat in October that wasn't expedited. I feel for you and yours and we've been told that 5 months is the target. What they're doing I'll never know but I suspect they bit off too big of a mouthful (two months worth of aps) and now they're choking on it. Just wish they'd wash it down and be done.

Bob

you missed the point of my post... i've posted many times, by starting Nov 24th on Oct petitions and worling their way backward they stay ahead of their time frame and only peeve off and come on late on the june/july filers. You being an Oct filer = you are at 3 months = not even close to your 5 month timeline yet. when you are at 7 months let me know how youre feeling.

I will definitely keep letter writing even after I get an approval. I also tell most people I come in contact with what has happened to us to help spread the word that way, too. Everyone that I tell about this situation is usually baffled as to why I can't bring my wife to my own country when I'm an American born citizen. I think that probably 95% of Americans would be upset if they knew what those of us who are doing this legally are going through just to get OUR FAMILY home. I thinks it's really important for us to spread word of this nonsense to all our friends, family and acquaintances to raise awareness of just how bad USCIS sucks!

this process certainly has opened my eyes to people and their hatred/biases and it's disgusting.... against interracial marriages (even in this day and age!), American's hatred toward foreigners, foreigner's hatred toward Americans, the immigration issue (LEGAL as well illegal - many mentally lump us right in with illegals), religious hatred, cultural hatred.... hatred hatred hatred {sigh}. *I* am beginning to hate people.

never did i ever imagine that if i would tell someone when they ask what's going on that "i'm still awaiting my husband, that never did i imagine the process would be so difficult or so long", to be told garbage like "good! those fithy towelheads shouldnt be allowed into our country!" this from an immigrant herself who fled religious persecution (supposedly) and sought asylm here from germany... barely speaks English even though she's now been here many years. My husband is an educated man, speaks excellent English, and just for the record - is NOT a "towelhead", nor is he "filthy" (though her mouth certainly is!)! the horrible, hurtful things people have said is just insane and i am just dumbfounded at all the 'friends' i've lost.

That type of thing is why people stop telling others what is going on and how difficult the process is because truly others dont care and the ones who ask usually are the ones who dont want them here! on his end some people are trying to sabotage, they dont want to see him come here so they're doing everything they can to mess us up... they've even gone so far as to threaten my life. i felt safe as long as i was here but now i dont even feel safe here in USA.

it's been a nightmare i would never wish on anyone, not even my worst enemy and if my kid even looked like they were ever interested in someone in another country i would do everything in my power to distract them before they could fall in love... i will never allow any friendships to develop between the opposite sexes of my children and children of another country EVER... and if i could go back and turn back the clock on the day i made that first post i would never have made it, i would have deleted my account and never logged in again. i cant turn back now, but if i never knew this love i could have lived without it, i was doing fine without... but now that i know it i cant live without it now. i wish i could, i really do. it hurts so bad some days ... like one person said one day, it's like they are being held hostage, it truly is. i worry every day they're going to hurt him rather than allow him to come here.

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.
