Probably don't need to worry about this but it's a concern. An hour away from where TJ is hospitalized. Murphy's Law anyone??

Have you asked any missionary groups for possible on-site assistance for your family? Just a recommendation:

The SYSTEM is BROKE and we all need to be concerned. I REALLY think that a lot of our cases have been lost and the days are them trying to find them. I have communicated with the USCIS at the US Embassy in Bangkok, this is the the email exchange. Look at where they say my petition is??? #######

Greetings,

Per the embassy's FaceBook page ( http://www.facebook.com/usembassybkk/posts/187565494597934 ), I have been directed to contact you with my family's situation. Rather than re-type everything here, I would like to just give the link to my blog that has all the details you will need to assist in our matter.

http://uscisfiasco.blogspot.com

Please take the time to read the above link, it appears no one else at USCIS is interested, even though we had been approved to expedite my wife's I-130 almost 90 days ago. My son is currently hospitalized again in Surin with a second bout a pneumonia, for a 20 month old infant, this can be devastating.

I am begging for assistance.

Respectfully submitted,

Wade S. Grant

USMC, Retired

-----------------------------------------------

Dear Mr. Grant:

Our apologies, but we are unable to verify your immigration case information through a personal blog site. According to our records, you, as petitioner Wade Grant, has filed the following petitions on behalf of Pinongram, Kampong:

· I-129F, WAC-***********, approved but valid only from 1/23/2008 to 5/22/3008.

· I-130 WAC-***********, rejected. (THIS WAS THE RFE FROM THE ORIGINAL FILING)

· I-130 WAC-***********, filed on 8/26/2010. Currently pending at the USCIS California Service Center.

Your petition is still pending with the USCIS Office in the United States where you filed the petition, the California Service Center. Current processing time for an I-130 petition filed with the California Service Center is listed as 5 months. You should expect to receive a notice from the California Service Center mailed to the address you provided on the I-130 petition. If your address has changed, please contact the USCIS National Customer Service Center at: 1-800-375-5283. Our office has not received a request for expedited processing, and the case is not pending with our office here in Bangkok. If you have already been approved for expedited processing, then you would have obtained the approved expedite from the Director of the California Service Center, where the case is pending. If you have not submitted an expedite request and need to submit one, or you wish to inquire about a pending expedite request, then please review the following link for more instructions:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=16a6b1be1ce85210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

Should you need further assistance from the USCIS office here in Bangkok, please email us directly at bkkcis.inquiries@dhs.gov. However, since your case is pending in the U.S. at the California Service Center, you should contact the domestic USCIS National Customer Service Center number as soon as possible at: 1-800-375-5283. If you have contacted the National Customer Service Center and have not received any update in 30 days, you can follow-up directly with the California Service Center by emailing them at: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov. You can also check your case status online at our website: www.uscis.gov.

And my response:

You reference my blog in your email but apparently you did not make an effort to read it.

You keep referring the California Service Center, the problem is it has been transferred to the Texas Service Center, read the damn blog to see what the real problem is.

Everyone is passing the damn buck and not willing to take an extra moment of their time to see what the ACTUAL problem is.

Do you have a heart or an ounce of compassion in your body? Evidently not.

I got a letter today stating that my petition is outside normal processing timrs bc USCIS is doing additional review on my case and I should receive an answer in 60 days. Cried again tonight.

just another way to say that they have not even looked at your case. I got the same letter. They would never truthfully say "We are overwhelmed and cannot get to your petition in a timely manner."

CONGRATULATIONS !!!

Sweet! Friday at 8:15PM I received an email saying that my I130 was approved and on the website it shows that it's in the post decision activity status. 216 days or 7 months and 1 day after my receipt date. Maybe fasting did make a difference.

Morning Saleem. Here's to a week of mass approvals and journies to the NVC.

The picture is interesting - the boxes are labelled XMxxx, which is interesting, because most correspondence from USCIS has an XM reference also!! wacko.gif
