It's easy!

Have your printer run out of ink! And no other way to print stuff... After the moment of panic has passed, just say "#### it, I'll bring the rest at the interview!"

11/07/10 ------- AoS Package received and singed for

11/10/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (emails)

11/12/10 ------- NOA1 received for I-130, I-485 and I-765 (hard copies)

11/12/10 ------- Touches on I-130, I-485 and I-765

11/19/10 ------- Biometrics appointment letter received

12/06/10 ------- RFE for I-693 (I think the issue is that it was not signed. Called USCIS and will receive a letter in a few days explaining)

12/16/10 ------- EAD card in production (email)

12/20/10 ------- Received "Letter of Explanation" for RFE (Service Request to expedite my case. Called USCIS and was told to ignore that and just send in response to RFE.)

12/24/10 ------- Received EAD in the mail

12/27/10 ------- Applied for SSN

12/31/10 ------- Received Interview letter

01/15/11 ------- Email confirming USCIS received RFE response

Pre-Adjustment of Status:

02/07 ------- Visited him in the U.S. for what was suppose to be a few weeks (Came in with birth certificate and health card. Health card expired a few months after)

08/07 ------- Decided to get married because we didn't want to be apart (in the U.S.)

Right on, Kitty. There was a great post on immigrate2US a few months back that was an interview with a former IO and he said that on average they spent 5 - 10 minutes reviewing materials before an interview, so burying them with pages and pages of docs and zillions of pictures probably does no good whatsoever in the vast majority of cases.

Don't wait for it to run out of ink--unplug your printer now !!!

There was a great post on immigrate2US a few months back that was an interview with a former IO and he said that on average they spent 5 - 10 minutes reviewing materials before an interview, so burying them with pages and pages of docs and zillions of pictures probably does no good whatsoever in the vast majority of cases.

Well, the proofs we have are taxes and some bills in both names. At first I had a few months for every bill, but then I realized; "they're not gonna go trough all of them for the past 3 years we've been married!" So, I figured, since they always seem to ask "do you have anything you want to show me" at the interview, I'll show it then! :P

Kitty - I didn't send any evidence in my AOS package. No pics, no bills, NADA. That didn't mean I didn;t have any though. I brought everything at the interview and that was all.

So don't worry, and don't waste too much time/efforts getting evidence, you will have to do it again and update everything for the interview ANYWAY.

hehe that's what I was thinking. Plus, at this point, My "back up" package (the one I kept as a copy) isn't even the same as the one I'm sending. Enough is enough! So! like you said, *deep breath* I'll bring everything at the interview... *stifles a sigh of stress*.

So what if I submitted millions of docs and what not? I have to bring it all over again to the interview? How redundant.

But i think on certain forms they request specific info as back-up. I'd be afraid they send everything back if it's not there...

2011/April/1 - DAY 157 - Infopass App in Irving, TX - was told that a decision has not yet been made about my case

2011/April/14 - DAY 170 - 30 days since my interview: Called USCIS - was told wait a 30 more days.

2011/April/25 - DAY 181 - Green Card arrived.

Believe me, I'm super excited as well! Soooo many things kept using the money we'd put aside that I can't believe it's actually time to file!

At this point, whatever stress I have is shadowed by the fact that "#### yes! We're finally ready!"... and then, my printed ran out of ink, so I think even the printer was like "mail it out woman!"

They ask you to bring the originals at the interview, not another copy. :)
