Police clearance???? Why??? Hmmm... This is strange. I have never heard of police clearance for adjustment of status in country. Not that it maybe hasn't happened, just never heard of it. Ok I just read your other thread. Makes sense now, but would have been nice to either have another biometric appt or get an RFE long before now. I'm sorry tina. Hang in there a bit longer; it'll all be over soon I hope!

Thanks so much kat. I called to talk to a real immigration officer right after I received the RFE letter whether we would receive another RFE. He answered that we wouldn't since they like sending all RFEs at the same time. So I hope what he told us is true :)

I have interview on Monday at 10:15 I hired an attorney. He is going to be late... He is going to be upstairs doing another case with immigration court. So should i be worry that he is going to be late? Will i have interview? They don't really have to care if i hired someone or not.. 10:15 IS 10:15... Also for some reason i didn't get interview letter so does my attorney.. He is going to prepare some paper saying that we didn't receive anything in the mail but the interview is April 4th... Also i was wondering if i have enough proof of my marriage.. Pictures, bank statements, health care policy, lease, some cards from the family and friends. We have separated bills due to not having ssn. Any suggestions? Thank you

Attorney was on time luckly. Interview went smoothly. Called us in,swore us. Asked how we meet, how long we have been together, all questions from 485. Showed lease, bank statement. She didn't want to see pictures or letters from friends, family or bills. We all had positive vibe includnig immigration officer. She said 'we need 1-1,5 week to review your papers. We will mail you notice if anything is missing. You should get green card for 10 yrs since you have been married for more than 2yrs' My attorney gave her 30 days to do it. So i'm guessing i'm approved. My journey is over =) I'm so happy. Good luck to everybody !!!

Had my interview today, very smooth, did not asked question about how we met, showed pictures, bank statement, insurance card, except the officer asked for statement where we can show daily activities, such as grocery shopping and gas etc. For people going to interview in the future, I recommend you to bring both bank statement as well as credit card statement.

No more USCIS for another 2.7 years. Thanks all for the help, and good luck to the rest of you. :>

Interview yesterday and I was approved. Because we've been married more than two years, it will be a ten-year card.

The interview went in an unexpected direction for us, since we don't have a lot of commingled finances and the interviewing officer gave us the initial impression that we didn't have enough evidence, even though we'd brought three years of joint tax returns, joint leases, 401K and life insurance beneficiary statements, etc., as well as the usual photos and trip evidence. Somehow we made our way to approval within the single interview, for which we're obviously grateful. Officer was polite, pleasant, understanding and had a good sense of humour.

I don't think they reviewed my application before the interview because from the way she looked at my forms during the interview, it seemed like she just got my application and even didn't know i made mistake on I-864. That is the reason why we gave the amended I-864 to her at the interview. So I guess it pretty much depends on local office and officer who interviews you.

@Snookie: Don't be nervous at your interview, sleep enough before that day. We were so nervous that we messed up. Also, we stayed up so late that we were kinda tired the day after =.=. Good luck to you !!

@bbutterfly: We're on the same boat. I Pray for both of us !

Latest update is that We got the approval letter in the mail yesterday together with the Welcome to the USA letter

Beyond excited!

How is it going with the whole RFE deal?

Thanks guys for the support!
